Family-friendly holiday rentals in Province of Livorno

We had a wonderful holiday with our children (7 & 9 years) in Poggio al Cassone. We were able to reach the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and Florence very easily. For the children, the pool was the highlight after the excursions. The entire complex is beautifully designed, the apartment is really large and we lacked nothing. We can well imagine coming back. :)

Florence was an amazing host and her home is spectacular. My family and I had the best time . It is centrally located on the island to drive where ever you want to go. My 2 year old son was with us and there were all sorts of toys for him and things to explore. She even helped us book activities on the island and was always available to help. Beautiful place between Cecina and Volterra to stay in complete tranquility and relaxation in the Tuscan hills, panora and fantastic sunset. Convenient to visit medieval villages and not far from the famous Etruscan coast and for those who love cities you can reach Pisa and Siena. Fausto is a fantastic host, accurate and very helpful, but not intrusive, he gave us directions to places to visit, typical beaches and also very nice restaurants nearby. Our stay was pleasant and relaxing what we wanted was to stay away from the confusion and daily stress, if this is what you are looking for here you can find it... you will only hear the "noise" of cicadas.

The location is special, reserve a unique view and exceptional livability... you experience total privacy immersed in the smells, sounds and colors of the sea!!!

The accommodation is very nice with a great garden to linger in. Alessandra was very friendly and helpful and always easy to reach. The building with the accommodation is located in the middle of a beautiful campsite, but you don't notice much of it. 1 min walk there is a great café and the beach can be reached via a footpath of about 5-10min. As a suggestion for improvement, I would note that spices, oil, vinegar, dish towel and sponge were missing in the kitchen. I would actually expect this in a fully equipped kitchen. Otherwise, the kitchen was well equipped (dishes, pans, etc.).

This was a great place for an overnight stay traveling through the area. Local restaurants were wonderful. The peaceful setting was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Giambattista is a very friendly, helpful and responsive host. Helped us with recommendations for some really good restaurants, events of the moment, itinerary of stuff to do nearby and also took care of our problems throughout the stay. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The jacuzzi with the stunning view was amazing. Bugs easily pass through the doors so they were a bit too much in the house, it’s kind of normal in the mountains and the host helped us promptly with solutions. Recommended for a good experience in the midst of nature.

Giulio was the most amazing host. We had a few trouble (unrelated), Giulio went well out of his way to help us and make our experience very special. I would honestly recommend everyone to stay here as you will not be disappointed. The apartments space is absolutely stunning, lots of greenery, very peaceful and not to mention, his charming cat. It will really up your experience and make you feel like you are seeing the real Italy. 10/10 would love to return some day.

We had a wonderful stay in Capoliveri! The apartment was absolutely lovely—very clean, well-equipped, and with a breathtaking view. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and our host Gianfrancesco was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Elba is a beautiful island with so much to offer, and Capoliveri is truly a dreamlike place to stay. Highly recommended!

It is a beautiful house on a hill overlooking Tuscany and the sea. You feel as if you are alone in Tuscany because you have no direct neighbours. You have to drive on gravel roads to the house, but that did not bother us and it is worth it. Paola was a great host and always easy to reach. It was also a great stay for our two dogs.

Il Casale di Giovanni is truly an oasis of peace and tranquility where you can recharge your batteries after a year of work. Just a 10-minute drive from the beautiful free or equipped beaches and numerous characteristic villages and hamlets that are worth a visit. The house is just like the description if not better, spacious and equipped with all the comforts. Giovanni is a punctual, precise and discreet host. In one word: super recommended!!

The villa is delicious, tastefully furnished and really equipped with everything , it feels like it's at home The garden and terrace are beautiful , the enchanting view and ranges from Corsica ( you can see the sunset every night) to the island of Elba to the coasts of Italy The countless tables and lounge chairs make you enjoy every corner of the garden in a different way, the fence is very comfortable for those who have dogs ... mine had a great time and enjoyed the stay running and playing and it was very relaxing to know them safely Nearby there is a small grocery store and a bakery , Sant'Andrea is a very small village with a beautiful beach The caretaker and host are always available A truly memorable experience Thanks to the owners of the Villa who really thought of everything :)

We returned to Guido's house again and we will definitely return again! Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at Alessandra's place so much! She is such a lovely, caring host who really cares what her guests think. It was important to us that our little dwarf poodle was allowed to go to the pool. Of course, not in the water (she doesn't like swimming anyway) but that she can just be with us. She also got along great with Alessandra's dog and we just had a totally beautiful, relaxing and great time. We will definitely be happy to come back! We spent two weeks in the house while our friends with two small children (1.5 and 5) stayed in the house next door. The property is fantastic, the garden and the view of the sea marvellous - a little paradise. There are plenty of cosy spots and numerous sun loungers. In autumn (October) the hours of sunshine are shorter, partly because the house is on the north side of the island. However, the mornings were sunny and warm and I could imagine that in the summer months you would be very happy about the many nice shady spots. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to cook simple things. there is also plenty of storage space for groceries or personal items. The bathroom is spacious and very nice. Everything was very clean and the flat is lovingly and cosily furnished. We would book again in a heartbeat and hope it's not the last time we stay there.

Andrea's place was beyond all expectations. We were a group of 7 friends who got everything we needed and more. Andrea was incredibly helpful and even drove to the airport to hand over a mobile we had forgotten. I can't recommend this place enough. (+ the view was to die for!)

A very nicely located house, we were there with the children - a clear recommendation! In-house playground, play kitchen pool, no longer needs a child for a week. Particularly noteworthy is the place Montescudiao not far from the property. Italy at is! A small Italian idyll with butcher, bakery, coffee house, trafik and trattoria AND a very good upscale restaurant - Il Frantoio! Only there was no contact with the house owner as everything was handled professionally by a housekeeping company. But was not bad, we bought wine and olive oil from the surrounding farmers and enjoyed a nice time in Tuscany...

Spacious and quiet place at the end of a short dirt road, where you can hear the birds and watch the sun setting over the Tuscan hills. Massimo is an amazing host, very warm, respectful and clean and he had great recommendations for us. We had a very relaxing stay, the pool was great to cool off and the kitchen was fully equipped. We cooked a few meals and enjoyed them from the balcony. Bellissimo!

After being scammed by a con artist who advertised a villa that was derelict we found ourselves with nowhere to go to celebrate my mother in laws 60th birthday. We had a Grandmother over 80 and two children under 3, nine people in total and absolutely no idea where to stay. After a desperate search on air bnb, we found this beautiful villa. Having auto-booked it, we crossed our fingers and hoped we wouldn’t be disappointed when we arrived the next day. I can safely say, we were not. The house is absolutely phenomenal. Beautiful, spotlessly clean and so stylish. It manages to be spacious and airy while retaining a coziness and Tuscan charm that we were originally looking for. Our host, was charming and accommodating. He gave us the privacy to enjoy his home while still being on hand for anything we might need. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds were very comfortable with crisp linens and fans in each for those hot Italian nights. The swimming pool is enormous, perfect temperature and CLEAN thanks to both the man who came to clean it for us and the little robot that chugs around the bottom when we weren’t using it. The kitchen facilities are top notch and our gorgeous host left us a basket with ingredients to make fresh Italian pasta with basil for our first day. He also popped down with a bottle of champagne for the birthday celebration. So kind and thoughtful. The house is in a wonderful village with an exquisite little restaurant nearby that serves some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Situated under an hour from Pisa, Florence and Lucca it’s ideal for day trips. We had an absolutely unforgettable time and if you come to Tuscany I can not recommend this property enough. Thank you to our beautiful host for making the week so perfect. Ciao!

We had a wonderful time staying at Claudio’s accommodation! The house itself is very nice, well-equipped with everything necessary to make our stay comfortable. The large garden is a real highlight, with a lovely outdoor dining area, plenty of space to relax, and a barbecue. The pool is fantastic and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape—perfect for a peaceful afternoon. The location is also ideal. It’s just a 20-30 minute drive to the sea and beautiful beaches, and many of Tuscany’s top cities like Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, and Volterra are only 1-2 hours away by car. It made for great day trips to explore the region. We really enjoyed our time. Grazie Mille, Claudio!
