Cabin holiday rentals in Mid Devon District

We had a lovely week at Alpine Grove touring park. Clear communication from Keith. The space was very clean and had all facilities needed for our stay. Our toddler also really enjoyed the swimming pool! Would definitely stay again. Loved it

The shepherds hut was a lovely peaceful place to stay, it came equipped with everything we needed & was the Perfect break needed. Hot tub was lovely and bonus for the hut having its own bathroom. Decorated lovely nice & clean & overall great place to stay. Many thanks!

We had booked in for a very short stay of only two nights but we wish it had been longer, much longer. We cannot fault The Signal Box; everything to make a stay pleasant, convenient and enjoyable had been thought of. The exceptional view, the history of Luckett Station, the friendly sheep, the hot-tub, the superbly comfortable bed - all combined to make this an experience that we will remember for a long time to come. The entire property was beautifully kept, with immaculate gardens and a very high standard inside. The instructions for access on arrival to the property were clear and easy to follow and the business is obviously very well run. Definitely worth recommending to others and a return visit. Thank you for having us.

one of the best and most peaceful places we have ever stayed! lovely location, beautiful garden, privacy and a great hotub! kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice dinner and the lodge itself is beautiful. we had a great time and even with some heavy rain it was great. don't expect to be connected to the outside world as phone and Internet is almost non-existent, but that is what is so relaxing about this place! Thanks Tim!

A very big thank you to Carley and John, the cottage made a perfect getaway for us both we loved the little touches made and how at home we felt the minute you walk through the door! The area was peaceful and secluded. We hope to visit again soon! Thank you again! 🫶

Couldn't praise this stay any more, wish we had booked longer than a few days. Home cooked pizza, then the hot tub and watching the sun set over the hills, watching the deer in the fields and surrounded by the horses was absolutely wonderful. Nearby to Weymouth and ammenaties for exploring and stocking up. Made us and the doggo feel so welcome. Thanks so much for having us. We would love to come back!

Lovely location with beautiful views. Secure garden to allow dogs to run around freely, which mine loved. It was my first trip away with both of my dogs and I was a bit worried about it, but it was perfect. Hosts are very welcoming to dogs as well which made me feel more at ease. Hot tub was great. Lots of different areas in the garden to relax.

I dont think the photos do it justice with how nice this place was! There were so many finishing touches that made it feel like a spa retreat more than just a place to stay. The instructions on getting there were spot on and the host was so friendly and welcoming. We could have happily stayed for a month, shame we only had a weekend free 😊

We had a really relaxing stay at the cabin, it was just so peaceful, set just outside the village with some good walks. The cabin had everything we needed and more, and although the weather wasn't great for us, it was still relaxing to sit out on the porch. The Garden was totally secure for our dog, who had a great time exploring...it was also good to arrive somewhere with a dog and not have a list of dog behaviour rules!! We got to the Wales Retreat and from the moment we walked in we flet so at home with the cosy features. The property smelt beautiful all throughout. Everything was spotless and even the fridge was equipped with essentials which was greatly recieved. The loaction is absolutely beautiful and I was in love with our own secluded private decking area with the most comfiest beanbag seats! Pet friendly which was a bonus for our GSP - she loved having a little area outside of her own and tje site was very welcoming to dogs. We will really be booking in again although we sre struggling to find your availability! 🙂

lovley stay everything as described, absolutly charming place. You can even see heytor from the garden, stunning. Loads to do in area too. Our microwave stopped working and they came and replaced with a new one in less than 5 minuites. Only shame was the weather was so nice we didnt get a chance to use the wood burner. Faultless

The Bolt Hole is a delightful little retreat furnished with everything we needed for a great holiday. Tim was a very good host and we had a super break. The weather was good for us but the cabin is very cosy and we thought it would also be great in bad weather.

We had a lovely relaxing stay based at Amy’s cabin. Her cabin was a great base to explore the Jurassic coast and also to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Amy was a great host and made us feel very welcome, my daughter also loved playing with her children when we arrived back to the cabin for the evening. Added bonus points for the very friendly pony and chickens. Would recommend this stay for anyone wanting to explore the area.

We had a lovely family stay at le shack and Danny was a great host and really responsive to messages and questions The accommodation was really clean , well equipped and comfortable. The surrounding areas were beautiful and Cawsands and Kingsands were lovely for sea swimming Would definitely go again! Thank you 😀

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

Just back from a magical honeymoon stay at The Hoot—absolutely fabulous….. even better than the photos. The energy is incredible: soul-soothing, serene, and full of love. Every detail has been thought of, with quirky decor and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and soaking in the outdoor tub during a rainstorm was amazing. Jan and Dunc are kind, thoughtful hosts who give you complete space to fully unwind. Can’t imagine anyone regretting a stay here and we will definitely return ✨🌿🛁

Thank you for the most lovely break from 7th - 15th June 2025. The lodge was absolutely beautiful! Very clean, spacious and private. The pictures don’t do this place justice! It’s bigger than the pictures make it seem! The lodge is very well equipped too. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Would recommend this lodge to anybody. Leah & Dan x

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. The view was incredible and the hot tub was amazing! If you’re lucky enough to have the chance to book this place, I’d 100% recommend. Had a lovely stay at the cabin for me and my partners anniversary weekend. Was a lovely escape & was surrounded by beautiful scenery. The area was quiet and extremely peaceful. It has everything you need including cooking supplies. Julia was really friendly and responded quickly to any questions. So glad we found this place & would definitely go back!!

Was on a course at St Luke’s Campus for a few days and this was the perfect accommodation for the job - sparkling clean, big comfy bed, lovely smell, plenty of space and really well equipped in a private ‘hideaway’ at the end of the garden - bathroom and sink / cooking area are outside but don’t let that put you off! It’s beautifully done and super clean and comfy to use and undercover. So nice to be surrounded by plants and trees, free tea/coffee and breakfast bits. Just 5 mins walk from campus and free parking sorted over the road via residents permit. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, thank you! :-)

Highly recommended. You have the cabin all to yourself and can come and go via rear entrance to property without disturbing anyone. Electra's husband came out to meet me then showed me round the cabin. He was friendly, helpful and courteous. The cabin itself is extremely well built and is also well-equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea, coffee, some biscuits and apples had thoughtfully been provided. All in all, an absolute gem of a place!

What a great find! The Log Cabin was a perfect base for the pair of us exploring Devon. After busy days on the coast or in Dartmoor, it was great to BBQ in the big garden, watching evening fall and the swallows dart about. It’s compact but doesn’t feel like that owing to Belinda’s clever use of space and décor. The pictures are accurate. Whatever space you’re in feels spacious and even sumptuous. I could be in the kitchen happily doing my thing while my partner lounged in the pleasant living room. Belinda is a great host, very helpful, coming to our rescue several times. We look forward to returning.
