This is a rental house surrounded by the rich nature of Iizuna Kogen.It was built in the year of the 1998 Nagano Olympics at an altitude of 1200 meters. The traditional wooden building, which was finished without a single nail, was completed by a famous architect and a master carpenter.It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of handiwork. Powerful and delicate wood, shoji natural light, shoji and shade of Isamu Noguchi's Akari lighting create a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. Artisanal stucco walls are used in the room.You can stay comfortably in any season while being surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. Because of the location away from the main gate, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a quiet villa with a more Karuizawa-like location. Located in a quiet area surrounded by natural forests.The building, which is a little higher than the road, is a single-story building, and the compact LDK + Japanese-style room is efficiently arranged.There is Wi-Fi and a small workspace for workation.The living room table is height-adjustable, so you can work while sitting on the sofa.Washing machine and various detergents are also available, and long-term stays are OK!We are waiting for you in a forest rich in nature, away from the busy everyday life. After sourcing locally fresh ingredients, travel to the Rock Forest, and take your car to the parking lot and take the ingredients to the fireplace space. You won't see anyone else either. It is a 60-minute bullet train ride from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and a 30-minute drive from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and leave half an afternoon.
