This is a private rental inn surrounded by the rich nature of the Iizuna Highlands. It was built in 1998, the year of the Nagano Olympics, at an altitude of 1200 m. The traditional wooden building, finished without a single nail, was completed by a renowned architect and a master carpenter. It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of the craftsmanship. The strong yet delicate wooden frame, natural light through the shoji, and the shadows created by Isamu Noguchi's AKARI lighting create a beautiful fusion of tradition and modernity. The interior walls are made of Tosa plaster by artisans. You can have a comfortable stay regardless of the season, surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. There are 4 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats that can accommodate up to 10 people. This place is perfect for those who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of Japan. Iizuna Kogen, where you can enjoy the seasonal nature. Beautiful green summer, colorful autumn leaves, and winter with snow-covered scenery - you can feel a different charm every time you visit. You can use the entire house studio with its sophisticated design, located at the foot of Mount Yatsugatake. There is a spiral staircase right in front of you when you enter the front door.You can experience something out of the ordinary in a space furnished with masterpieces. Feel free to use the spacious living space, atelier space, rooftop bathroom, wood deck, and garden with stone kiln. [Accommodation fee] 1 building fee.Up to 6 people can stay at an even rate. The accommodation fee includes consumption tax, Nagano Prefecture accommodation tax, Airbnb service fees, etc. [Pets are allowed] Please be sure to let us know when booking.Please refer to "Other things to note" at the bottom for details. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example.
