Opened on October 1, 2016!(The second store, Makotoya Ohjin, opened in May 2024.) It is a traditional Japanese house in a very convenient location. It is about 3 minutes on foot from Takayama Station and about 5 minutes on foot from the old town. When you enter the house from the front entrance, you may feel as if you are in an old Japanese house. You can also enjoy the "horigotatsu" and "open-air bath". A historical old house lodge "Kusanoniwa"

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.

Yokoya Farm is an apple farm located on a hill. 10 mins drive from downtown of Matsumoto. We’ll host you with the idea that we want you to enjoy staying at farmer’s storehouse, kura. It’s comfortable enough to stay with minimum facilities and it left the feature of the original building. (One group only for a day) You’ll enjoy to see an apple farm. *If you have small children who can sleep with you, you can make a reservation for 5 people.
