As the times went by and saws became less and less popular, this house remained in Kamishi-cho, Toyama Prefecture, as a prominent store. Mezate is the work of sharpening the broken 'eye' of the saw.We named it metate (metate) with the hope that guests will be able to polish their five senses. We renovated a historic warehouse and transformed into a small cozy place with a Japanese style bathtub on the first floor. Inside the room, you can have a relaxing time with the bath, reading a book in peaceful and quiet atmosphere, or watch a movie on the projector. You can go for a walk in the fields and on a clear day, you will see panoramic view of the beautiful Tateyama mountain range.
