Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Monte Mario

Delightful Airbnb within walking distance of the Vatican. Good bed, fantastic bathroom, well-functioning air conditioning and cozy (enclosed) outdoor area. Bus and metro around the corner, which will take you to all the hotspots of Rome within 15 minutes. In short, a perfect base for our midweek Rome.

Clean place, perfect for two people. Antonio gave us some great recommendations for food, drinks, and even dessert, he even provided us with the information on which public transportation to take. Only slight inconvenience was that the locks on the doors are a bit old and got were difficult to unlock but he did help us out with that as well.

Frederica was super kind, bubbly, and helpful. The location of this Airbnb is unmatched. It is right across from the beach with amazing restaurants nearby, beautiful views, and privacy and security. We felt very safe and very comfortable here. Our only complaint is that the A/C and Wifi were a bit spotty and you have to pay a separate cash cleaning fee on top of the Airbnb price, but everything else was great. Definitely recommend this place!

The place was not only beautifully decorated, but very clean and cozy. It was located in a quiet location which was a great contrast to the busy city life. Angelo is a great host – he was always available when I had any questions or needed advice. He was happy to recommend local restaurants and points of interest in the area, which greatly enriched my stay. His willingness and friendly attitude really pleased me. An added benefit was the great amenities of the place – from the fully equipped kitchen where I was able to make breakfast to a comfortable bed where I had slept like never before. Thank you for a great stay. I will definitely be happy to come back when I visit Rome.

A cozy place that was built with lots of passion and love. I had an amazing stay in Rome, had the pleasure of meeting Cristiana & Pietro who made sure I would feel at home, gave me a list of al the nicest not so touristy spots to see and eat at (as per my inquiry) and made sure I make the best of my holiday. ♥️

Massimiliano and his father Maurizio are, above all, wonderful people—welcoming and pleasant. They are always available to help in any situation. They provided us with excellent instructions on what to do and where to go. If we revisit Rome, we will definitely stay with them again. I highly recommend them to all future guests. 😍🤩

Loved the huge figs left for us!! All the coffees teas and sweets and the grounds around the airbnb were beautiful. The grape vines full of grapes were unbelievable like out of a painting. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Close to everything in Trastevere and within walking distance of all the major sights. It felt like home and it was so comfortable. Look no further for an incredible stay!!

This lovely 1 BR apartment is in a fabulous, quiet location about 5-10 minutes away from the Vatican and Coliseum. The neighborhood has plenty of lunch cafes, restaurants and gelato stops! The main Metro train is also only a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. If you prefer to not be in the hustle and bustle of the tourist traffic, then this is a perfect place to be. This was my first trip to Rome and I walked everywhere and was happy to do so. I think the only small issue this apartment may present - is the bathroom space is a tight fit - and could be problematic if you are tall and require a good amount of space. I would highly recommend Francesca’s apartment and she was also a very nice and accessible host! Thank you!! Christine

So happy we chose to stay here. Just from the towels left for us on the bed including the slippers and the level of cleanliness of the place I know we made the right choice. All the comfort of home but with the luxuries of a hotel. Great location in Rome! Walkable in 5 minutes to the Vatican!

Mascia was a wonderful host! She met me a the unit when I checked in to show me around the unit and answer any questions. She was prompt to answer any questions via chat, and allowed my friend and I a late check-out time so that we could store our luggage at the apartment on our last day of sight-seeing. We stayed a couple of days at the end of our trip to Italy. The property is clean and the garden area ia very nice The Vatican museums and at Peter’s are walking distance. We enjoyed our time even if it was short.

Nice base if you want to go to Rome. Not in the busy city centre but a nice chic neighbourhood. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is complete to be able to eat there. It's nice and clean and fresh. Nice shower and towels. There is Netflix and good WiFi. Please note: it is about 20 minutes to the nearest metro station. But there's a bus station around the corner. I am pregnant and we have used the taxi a lot because public transport, walking and sharing a bike/scooter is not really comfortable for me. Otherwise, I think it's fine. The host provides you with all the information for a pleasant stay and transportation to the city.

We had a wonderful stay at this flat just a 10-minute walk from Vatican City. The location is incredibly safe and convenient for exploring Rome, especially the Vatican area. The apartment itself is spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed; neat, tidy, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The shower is particularly excellent, adding a touch of luxury to our stay. Chiara is truly exceptional host; sweet, kind, and incredibly detail-oriented. She was always responsive and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable, offering help with anything we needed and greeting us with genuine warmth. This is a fantastic flat that we wholeheartedly recommend, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or a more gracious host.

Place is amazing, lots of natural light, cozy bed, quiet (hardly noticed there were other people in that building, close to great restaurants and train station. Host was attentive and responded fast, we were able to drop our luggage since we were a bit early before check in (thank you that really was a nice gesture) dragging luggage around isn’t ideal after an 11 hour flight. If you are looking for a great spot near the Vatican then look no further.

If you have a chance to stay here when in Rome I highly recommend it! I loved being away from the typical tourist crowds in Rome and being in a stunning vintage building. The balcony is really special and I slept so well here. Thank you!! Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment is in a perfect location – many sights, lovely cafés, and great restaurants are all within walking distance. The place itself is spotless, beautifully furnished, and very well equipped – we didn’t miss a thing. Beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean apartment close to the Vatican, walkable in 10 mins and plenty of local buses. Daniela gave us a host of recommendations- we tried 3 of them and 100% agree they’re great places to eat - Mae for breakfast, Conviviale for dinner, both just across the road, and Mimi & Coco, hip and happening near Piazza Navone. So comfortable- we’d love to have stayed longer.

Our first time in Rome, & we definitely lucked out on choosing to stay here. The location is superb with all of Romes attractions within 20 mins walk. For being so central the apartment is so peacefully quiet. Honestly this is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in, & we have been fortunate to stay in some great places.
