Thanks to Amanda and Adam for a great 3 nights at the Silver Birch Lodge. It was so much to do and the hot tub and fire pit was so amazing… We learnt how to build a fire pit as never done this before so was a good experience. Me and my 8 year old took the bikes out and went around the village with some spectacular views and really friendly people. If you are looking to relax and get away for a few days then this is the place to come really nice from start to finish… Thanks again for being amazing hosts and will definitely come back again!!!

We had a lovely weekend at Suzanne’s place. The surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful. The hot tub was the highlight and we spent a very relaxing weekend in it. The place itself is so clean and has a lovely layout. Suzanne and her husband were so friendly and were always reachable if need be. We will definitely be back. Rachael and Sarah :)

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

beautiful lodge in a quiet area which would be great for any fishing fans. only 30-40 mins from a selection of great beaches too, so an ideal location for exploring the area. Ruth was a great host and even dropped off some freshly laid eggs and some plastic cups for the hot tub!

A great stay for our family. The perfect getaway from the madness of every day parent life! We enjoyed a 2 hour exploration across the acres of land nearby and some relaxation in the well maintained hot tub. The place was a home from home and extremely well kept. In the evening there were a few creepy crawlies, but expected in the countryside! The king sized bed was ever so comfy and the children slept well in the single bedroom next door. We would 100% recommend this place and would love to come back in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay in one of the cabins! Easy instructions to find, and ample parking. Beautiful landscaping around the pod cabins, and although there were others, it felt very secluded and private. Very quiet and loved hearing the horses and birds. The wood fired hot tub was AMAZING and was the perfect place to catch up with friends. BBQ made for easy dining and we were able to sit out on the patio. Small inside (for 4 people) but perfectly formed and had absolutely everything we needed. Loved our stay and hope to return!

Lovely little cabin in a beautiful and peaceful location! Everything was to our liking, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and the cosy cabin was exactly what we needed! Everything was clean and tidy, and the back yard is just gorgeous!

We had a really nice time here. our children loved playing in the garden and watching the rabbits. the place was perfectly clean and well stocked kitchen for cooking. thank you!

We rented John’s hut to spend a day at the beach with friends. The hut was exactly as described and very well located, close to the cafesnand shops, the toilets, and the parking spaces. It contained everything you can need for a perfect day at the beach! Would definitely recommend it and would consider renting it again in the future.

We had a lovely stay. The cargo pod was just big enough for us and the facilities were great. The patio furniture could do with an update, but overall we are really happy

We had a lovely few days at the Mersea Retreat. It is very well equipped, comfortable and quiet and Emily is a very helpful host. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking on the beach and visiting the Mersea Island Museum. Hope to stay again. Many thanks.

Super cosy getaway. All the facilities as advertised in chilled woodland setting. Warm and comfortable, we had a very relaxing stay. Would recommend, and would stay again.

Liz was a fantastic host- so friendly and helpful. Finding the location could have been challenging, but she was more than accommodating to make sure we found the AirBnB after a long drive/arriving at night. The place was clean, just like the photos. Liz was a lovely host to communicate back and forth with- and she was even generous enough to allow a late check-out. Would highly recommend staying here!

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely lovely. It was a last minute bookings but Alex and Amy were very helpfully. Before we arrived the heating was turned on so we arrived to a very toasty cabin :), there is two double beds, a very comfortable cosy front room area with a tv, the kitchen had everything you needed including a large fridge with a freezer, the surrounding were beautiful especially at night you can see a lot of stars, we did arrive later then normal so was a little bit hard seeing where we going as it was dark (that’s our fault) but Alex saw us a little confused on his drive and helped straight away, was very peaceful and quite area, was 5-10 mins drive from everything. Would 100% stay again.

We had a fantastic stay! The caravan was absolutely lovely — very clean, spacious, and well looked after. It had everything we needed and felt really comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending nearby, it was walking distance to the venue which made everything so convenient. A big shoutout to the host Scarlet, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay — quick to respond and even offered to help with check-in. Truly top-notch customer service! Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

Lovely cabin in a very spacious, private setting. Cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Especially enjoyed relaxing in the illuminated dome in the evening, even while the rain poured outside! Only stayed overnight, and chosen for its proximity to a number of nature reserves we were visiting, but ideally located for touring the three county area.

This is our second trip to the lodge to visit family , it is in a beautiful setting surrounded by wildlife and a wonderful dog walk . The lodge is much more spacious than the photos shows. Mary was extremely helpful with any issues we had and sorted them straight away.

Great place to stay, great host who went above and beyond to make our stay great. The added extras of wine, milk, juice and croissants were thoughtful. The place its self is comfortable for 2 adults with a very comfy bed. Walking distance to Newmarket town centre and great location if you are wanting to go the Newmarket Races. Highly recommended
