Shipping container holiday rentals in Appalachian Mountains

We had a wonderful stay at this fun house! We were there for Elon graduation, and it was a great fit for extended family. It is close to the Saxapahaw General Store for breakfast or a few necessities, and not too far from larger grocery stores and such in Graham. We loved all the decor--it was so fun going from room to room and seeing all the vintage touches! Such a great atmosphere. I wish we'd had more time to play some of the board games, listen to the many records, or explore Saxapahaw. This was also a perfect space to have a farewell get together for my daughter and her graduating friends. There was a grill available, and lots of space for serving food for the cookout, places to sit and enjoy the large back yard or stay inside out of the sun. Kathy responded quickly whenever I had a question, and there were caretakers on the property also, if we had more immediate questions. All in all, a wonderful place to visit and enjoy time with friends or family!

The cabin was beautiful. It had everything that we could need. The sauna was a great bonus. A great property if you love nature, wild life, and exploring. Trails on property and convient location to get to RRG and Natural Bridge. Angie was so kind and helpful. So happy with our stay and looking forward to coming again in the future.

Porter and Sara were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and attentive throughout our stay. Their cabin was the perfect cozy escape from the city, ideally located near countless stunning hikes. We couldn’t have asked for a better mountain getaway.

What a wonder weekend away! This property was beautiful, quiet, and everything we needed for a weekend get away. We enjoyed a peaceful fire, explored downtown, and just embraced the slower pace. Porter and Sara were amazing hosts, they were quick to respond, checked in with us to ensure we had everything, and overall created an amazing space. The hot tub was tricky but once we figured it out it was great! If you are looking for a more rustic/glambing environment then this is the place for you!! We will definitely be back!!

Ellen's place is an AMAZING accomodation. It is very well designed, walking distance to all the bars and music venues. It's very clean and very private. The location is very quiet which is perfect to relax after long nights out. It has a beautiful little private green area under the trees in the back yard where you can have your morning coffe and listen to the birds or an evening drink. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place. Thank You for hosting us at your property. We will be back Iwona & Sam

This was our third stay at one of Porter’s shipping container cabin and probably our favorite. The field was so peaceful to watch as the grass moved with the wind, and the little bedroom window was the coziest place to watch it all from. Even with crazy downpours the night before our departure, we were enchanted with the cabin’s location and comfort.

Thank you Shelly for providing us a perfect location to spend a few restful nights at the beach. I would highly recommend Shelly’s place to any couple looking to spend time at Carolina Beach. We will be back!

Austin’s place was incredible! We wished we could’ve stayed longer but we enjoyed as much of his place as we could! The outdoor area is peaceful amongst the trees as we enjoyed using the grill to cook dinner and then spent some time in the hot tub under the stars. The interior design of his house was spot on with everything we needed and so aesthetically pleasing! Austin as a host was so helpful, he gave us plenty of things to do in the area when we asked and was always so responsive. He also allowed us to check in early so we could drop our bags off and enjoy the mountains that afternoon! An amazing host, an amazing house and an amazing location! Would 100% recommend 🙏🏼

It was such a peaceful stay. So comfortable and very homey.

Passing through the area on a long road trip; I was so excited to find Michael’s place! An oasis of sorts for my dog and I after a very long drive. The bathroom/ shower set up is amazing, kitchen well stocked with utensils/ coffee and such. There were amenities for my puppy, which he absolutely loved. The enclosed deck was wonderful and private; secure enough for a very fast and springy fox terrier. A brief stay for us, but perfect and I so appreciate the hospitality of both hosts :) we would gladly return. Thank you!

Ryan and Laura were great hosts and communicators. Their cottage was very homey feeling and quiet. We loved how pet friendly they were and we had a great time and look forward to going back.

We arrived on a super foggy night and had trouble finding the driveway - the host was so kind and helped us navigate the area (which is hard to do when you have no service and can’t see LOL)! It was such a peaceful stay. The home was even more beautiful in person! Close enough to the caves and hiking trails. The hot tub was a fun bonus! We would totally stay here again!

My Husband and I stayed here after our wedding. It was a perfect weekend getaway for just the two of us. Everything was super clean and the Airbnb had everything we needed. Super cute place and very modern. AC worked great and we loved all the windows. Definitely recommend!

This place is one of my new favorites! If i were to describe it in one word, it would be “cozy.” I would absolutely book this place again on my next visit to Athens!

Everything fit the description and was exactly as we expected. We needed to ask something about the firewood and someone responded almost immediately. 10/10

We had a blast. The creek and scenery was awesome. The cabin was perfect. We even got in the creek and played some. Clayton was an awesome town as well. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I love staying at unique Airbnb’s. We have stayed in tiny homes, airstreams, houseboats and now a storage container. The storage container and the property look just like the pictures! West Jefferson was only a 14 minute drive to downtown where all the restaurants are located. The hosts were very responsive and had tons of suggestions on restaurants as well as activities in the area. I definitely recommend this cute storage container for a quick getaway.

Everything you could possibly dream of for a Blue Ridge excursion! All amenities, insane views, and incredible hosts!!

The caboose was amazing! It is perfectly located, just a few minutes from the GSMNP entrance. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a comfortable and clean place to stay near the park. Debbie was very responsive and we even got to meet Nellie, their pet dog! Will definitely be going back!

Super functional and sweet spot in the backyard. Absolutely awesome neighborhood! We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Nadia was quick to respond, great communication. Added bonus of a washer/dryer and a place to park your car! Absolutely recommend.

This was our second stay at LRH and our first time staying in the Burrow. We loved our stay here! Clean, cozy, and the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful backyard and was a great location for our wedding party to get ready :). Mike and Alice were friendly hosts, very responsive and even went out of their way to make sure everyone had a place to park in the morning.
