Chalet holiday rentals in Appalachian Mountains

We were very comfortable at King’s Cottage. We had everything we needed. It was so quiet, private, comfortable and well appointed. Messages from the host were friendly and helpful. Great stay in a beautiful spot!

I had an amazing stay at this cozy Airbnb—truly a serene and peaceful spot to get away and unplug from the hustle and bustle. The location is fantastic, especially if you love hiking, as there are great trails just a short drive away. Waking up to the beautiful views was such a treat, and the cozy spaces inside made it easy to relax and unwind after a day outdoors. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for preparing meals, which added to the comfort of the stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to recharge in nature without sacrificing convenience!

Views were amazing and the chalet was big enough for 6 people. I do wish there was another bathroom but overall it was an amazing experience and would stay here again. One thing to keep in mind is that due to the available parking (2 spots) one of our cars had to be parked parallel at the end of the driveway, so if you have large vehicles that’s something to consider.

We are so thankful to Jason and his family for sharing their special place with us. We immediately felt right at home and had more than enough room for all 3 adults. We were immediately blown away with the breathtaking river right in the front yard! We never saw anyone else on the river the whole trip so it felt like we had it all to ourselves too. We started our day listening to the river while drinking coffee on their beautiful deck. And, then later in the day, we enjoyed tubing down the river, leaving from a nearby bridge and ending the trip back at the property. I have a service dog, named Charlie, that did everything with us too (including floating down the river) and I think he enjoyed it as much, or more, than we did too. We wish we had made the trip a little longer because we never got a chance to use the hot tub on the deck, or the fire pit, etc. We hope Jason’s family will have us again because we’re already dreaming about coming back again next summer!

We had an amazing week at the Baskaton Chalet. We stayed with our 2 dogs and felt right at home with comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and a beautiful deck with a barbecue. We spent our evenings watching the sunset by the lake, and making fires in the evening. We had a great view of the wildlife and would 100% recommend visiting this beautiful home to anyone wanting to reconnect with nature.

The cabin is warm, cozy and comfortable. It was a perfect location for a couples weekend. The kitchen is loaded with great appliances and tools so we had a great time cooking. The sauna and hot tub are an attractive addition too, we barely left the cabin all weekend. Thanks Jermaine!

This place was absolutely awesome! We had a group of 10 girls and all fit very comfortably in the house. Everything was super clean and tidy! The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were very clean too. Parking was super easy, we had a couple girls park at the pool listed and had no issues. Overall highly recommend for a group of 10!

It was remote compared to the graduation we were attending in the area but we all felt worth the distance. Very comfortable, incredibly clean, well designed house. We had freezing weather so were not able to use the deck or fire pit area. Thank you, Michelle!

The photos don’t even begin to do this place justice! There’s so much beautiful greenery and places to safely wander with friends on the property. There’s a few sweet towns and spots to check out nearby as well. We had a great time with the treehouse and enjoyed the beautiful backyard. It rained a few days we were staying, but the house was perfectly cozy for us and it didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything. This place is amazing!

We absolutely loved this home. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Our weekend in Ellicottville was nothing short of incredible, thanks to this beautiful and thoughtfully curated Airbnb. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a space that felt more like a retreat than a rental. The home had a picture-perfect setting — cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated — with all the amenities we needed to relax and reconnect as a family. It was spotless, well appointed , loved the firepit and hot tub! The views of the mountains were stunning and the host, Rob, was super accommodating ! We will be back!

This place is absolutely beautiful! The house is incredible (and so is the decor!), the woods are calm and quiet, and there were plenty of toys, both inside and outside, for our toddler to enjoy! Also, loved the shower’s pressure and consistent temperature and though the kitchen sink was awesome (actually wrote down the name of the faucet because we’re in need of a replacement at home)! We’d definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone checking it out :)

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! I visited with my two daughters and two of their friends, it was the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. Great spot tucked between Stratton and Manchester. 15 minutes from great shops and restaurants. The hot Taub and sauna offer a great experience as well! Beautiful waking up in the morning and looking right at Stratton, would stay again, thanks!

Beautiful location, brand new amenities very well maintained, everything in place and ready to use, kitchen is fully fully equipped with everything ready at hand to cook great meals. The appliances are of prestige quality and care with a lot of variety. There is a lot of small details all around the place with a lot of care about the host. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, very large with a lots of things to see. I highly recommend it

Overall, we liked it !

We had a lovely time in the cottage. The environment is beautiful and the chalet is very well equipped. However, beware of mosquitoes and black flies in this season (high season), you must provide repellent to be able to enjoy the outdoors. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we will come back with great pleasure!
