Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Torbay

We had a wonderful few days staying at Smuggler's Cottage and exploring Brixham. The cottage is in a great location with absolutely beautiful views over the harbour from the sitting room and upstairs bedroom. It had everything we needed inside (spacious and comfy, well equipped kitchen), and a lovely outside patio, table and chairs for sitting out in the morning/evening to enjoy the views. The cottage is a short 5-minute walk from the centre of town/harbourside, either via steps or there's a step-free path. Thank you Kath - would definitely recommend and hope to return to Brixham again.

Great home with outstanding facilities and location. Pool is a highlight, and hot tub right next to it which is great for when the kids get chilly! Fantastic playroom for them too. Boiling water tap for grown ups teas and coffee with good indoor and outdoor seating areas. Fun for all the family!

we had an amazing time. the place far exceeded our expectations. so much attention to detail. Excellent property and great location to everything with all amenities you needed for a lovely break in Devon, very spacious and quiet area just short walk to the harbour, Caroline was very helpful communicating and there was lots of information in the property, the hot tub was a lovely touch in a private part of the garden. will definitely return in the future and highly recommend

Had an amazing stay at this lovely holiday cottage with my family! It was perfectly located, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. Huge thanks to the host for making our trip so comfortable and enjoyable.

What a beautiful house! It was so well equipped, with tasteful art work, and loads of room for our family of 7. The photos of the renovation were fascinating - what an amazing project it was. We felt very privileged to stay there. We all loved the garden too, with its lovely plants, numerous seating areas, and the illuminations after dark! The games room was a bonus, and used every evening, with lovely views across the bay. The house was in a lovely quiet area, but walkable to the centre. Walking back was a bit more taxing, but we all did it! We found loads to do and see in the area, from cliff walks to National Trust properties. We would definitely recommend it.

Apartment was immaculate and a great size for a family of four. Location was excellent, close to the train and bus station and harbour. Plenty of shops and cafes within a short walking distance. Would definitely recommend!

Sara’s place is the perfect place to escape with the kids. Sara was super responsive. Easy check in and gaining access to the caravan. The welcoming hamper and card was lovely and gave it a personal touch. The caravan was pristine. We would recommend staying here to everyone, we will definitely be back.

Kathryn’s place was a lovely peaceful place to stay, beautiful views of the sea and Kathryn was helpful whenever needed. The bed was very comfortable and the home was spotless with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The beaches are nearby and the steam train is well worth a trip, you can see the train from the views from Kathryn’s garden. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay hope to be back soon.

Perfect location for Paignton beach, pier, train station, local parks. Spacious with lovely relaxing garden area.

Ralph & Tanny were great hosts; they were super hospitable and very friendly. The apartment was perfectly located for us and had the added bonus of parking - anyone who has stayed in Brixham will know what a find this is! Ralph’s place is spacious and really well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a bright and airy apartment, in walking distance of beaches and the beautiful Brixham harbour.

We had a fabulous stay at Lucinda’s apartment - fantastic sea view and beachfront location in our favourite part of Torquay. Lovely airy and spacious accommodation on the second floor with huge sash windows to enjoy the view.

Goodrington is a family favourite of mine. it's an excellent location, great to get out on an early morning walk whilst family sleep. love Cantina for a coffee. Didn't want to leave, tge apartment had everything we needed. Thanks Ruth. hopefully see you again

Loved the house, we stayed for Christmas it was perfect for our needs. The host had put up a beautiful Christmas tree for us. It was super Christmassy and a short walk into town for the lights and a few drinks in the pub. The house was warm, clean and the host was welcoming - we were so happy with everything! We had a perfect family Christmas all together with lots of space. The house is decorated querky and interesting - we loved it.

We loved its quirkiness, but Weeke Barton is an old building with uneven floors and low ceilings and spiral staircases which were a challenge. The stairs didn’t defeat us, but they are tricky. The rooms are warm even when a log fire is needed, which is recommended, and the beds are very comfy. All the bedrooms are great and full of history and character, which is the same for the whole of Weeke Barton. The location is also ideal for exploring Dartmoor, for riverside running and good food pubs. There is enough to do locally when it rains, and perfect walks for when it’s sunny. Thanks to Jo and Sam for the local information and Winston for the entertainment.

We had a fabulous time celebrating my son’s 21st birthday at Moor House. The house provided a lovely “about time” vibe and allowed us to carry out lots of activities in the local area, sea kayaking, clay pigeon shooting etc coming back for a family celebratory supper on the Saturday night. Definitely a house perfect for a family celebration

Our family had a good stay, there was plenty of space for 9 adults and 3 infants. The garden was really spacious and we enjoyed use of the fire pit, BBQ, trampoline and hot tub. The only downside was the kitchen was a bit small for us, as we cooked the majority of meals at home and ordered a big food shop for a week, which we had to split between the two kitchens (upstairs and downstairs). Walkable to Princetown where there are local facilities and amenities, plus driving to many nice places on the moors, but roads are narrow and can take some time to get places, being in the heart of Dartmoor.

This Airbnb exceeded expectations. Super clean, in a lovely and peaceful area, and the hot tub was absolutely the highlight – so relaxing! The sauna was a great bonus too. For the price, it was an incredible value. Would definitely stay again!
