An unobstructed view of nature at the upper edge of the village of Gersfeld OT Sandberg on a south slope at about 600 m above sea level invites you to linger. Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, it can accommodate up to 8 discerning guests.

The cottage is quiet, without through traffic on the edge of the forest, with a nice hiking trail. In the surrounding area, cycling and excursions to sights (e.g. Gold Museum, Rauenstein Castle Ruins, and much more) are available. Highlight: *Silbersattel ski arena and Steinach ski slope are just 15 minutes from the cottage.* For children there are great highlights: in the holiday home itself a large playroom, in Sonneberg the Exotarium, toy museum, toboggan runs,... + free parking & washing!

Relax with the whole family in our holiday home on the edge of the forest with its own sauna in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. Enjoy the tranquility, the view of the forest and the singing of the birds in the bird sanctuary. One kilometer away, Germany's most famous high-altitude hiking trail, the Rennsteig, awaits you with a diverse hiking and skiing network. The falconry on the Rennsteig with its 38 birds of prey and owls offers you exciting animal experiences in the immediate vicinity.

The ground floor apartment is located in a quiet residential area in the Konrad-Zuse city of Hünfeld. It is 500 m to an outdoor swimming pool and 400 m to the Haselsee recreational park. The city center of Hünfeld with its cafés, shopping and restaurants can be reached through the Bürgerpark in approx. 15-minute walk. The nearby Rhön with its biosphere reserve as well as the ski and toboggan arena on the Wasserkuppe are about 35 minutes. Fulda is about 15 minutes by car.

Apartment by the English Garden

From this centrally located and quiet accommodation right on the English Garden, you can quickly reach all interesting places in Meiningen. Two free parking spaces are right in front of the building. Meiningen is known for its rich culture and history. Visit the Meiningen Theater, one of the oldest and most renowned theaters in Germany, or explore Elisabethenburg Palace, which now serves as a museum. The English Garden invites you to relaxing walks.

You will stay in a former leisure center. This is in the renovation status and the first two guest rooms (1 of which is a passage room) as well as toilet and bathroom, are completely renovated. Wi-Fi available but no TV. Feel invited. Outstanding is the large sports room, which is equipped with ping pong tables, fitness balls and lots of space. If required, additional accommodation and food can be requested next door at the Gasthaus zur Post.

Our 43 m² apartment on the first floor offers a beautiful view of the countryside. There is an optional office with desk. For stays of 5 days or more, we can provide a shared kitchen with stove, dishwasher and more on request.
