Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in North Devon District

We had a truly wonderful experience staying at Stonelands. Christine was incredibly generous and kind—she upgraded our booking to an entire house at no extra charge, which was such a lovely surprise. After spending a few days in hotel rooms, staying in this cosy house felt like a breath of fresh air. It was spacious, comfortable, and made us feel completely at home. Each evening, our host thoughtfully set the breakfast table, and in the morning we enjoyed a delicious, homemade breakfast that made our days start on such a positive note. She also gave us fantastic recommendations for local cafés, restaurants, and tourist spots, which really helped us make the most of our stay. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and home-like experience.

Lizzie was a lovely host - very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed, although small, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. A great location - right on the waterside in Dartmouth - and breakfast was excellent.

Belinda was very helpful about me needing to check in a bit early, very accommodating with my little dog, and also very welcoming and a lovely host. Breakfast was delicious - lovely granola with blueberries and yoghurt, perfect. She recommended various supper options and I tried the Cott Inn - fabulous food (I had the pea, shallot and sage tortelloni) and also dog friendly. I was visiting Totnes in order to go on a tour of the Agroforestry Research Trust which is a pioneering forest garden full of interesting edibles grown without needing much maintenance - ideal for growing healthy food at home alongside a busy lifestyle. The tour was great - and Belinda’s home was only a 15 min walk away, so it all worked out very well.

Deze kamer is ruim en heeft privé sanitair. De omgeving is prachtig en heerlijk rustig. 's morgens was de ontbijttafel gedekt en in de eetkamer stond alles wat je nodig had voor een degelijk ontbijt. De gastdame(en -heer) waren erg vriendelijk, we voelden ons op ons gemak. Dit verblijf is zeker een aanrader!

Katie was very friendly and the view out of our window over the fields of sheep and cows was lovely. A very rural and secluded location, but within minutes of Ashburton. We will definitely stay at Katie‘s place next time we are in in Devon.

Chris and Phil made us feel totally at home and welcomed. Phil is a fab cook, breakfast was amazing, with a really comprehensive Menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their beautiful home. I would recommend to other's who may wish to have a stay in Bridport, Phil and Chris's is the place to head for. I lost myself in the outside Oasis. We had a wonderful stay at John and Di's little cottage. Charming place, less than a mile from Port Isaac. We didn't have a car, but it was an easy walk into town. Having a car might have been a good idea. John was very kind to give us a ride into town sometimes and he came to pick us up twice. He also drove us to Bodmin to catch a train when it was time to go. His charge for that was much less than a taxi. The best thing about this stay was John and Di's connection to the town. They had lots of stories to tell about Port Isaac and Doc Martin and so on. Really delightful people. And Di made us probably the best breakfasts we had on the whole trip! Not too many BnB's actually offer breakfast anymore, so this was a big big plus.

David is a generous host. Everything is as described and he is very welcoming. A place giving good value for money. I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful location. Perfect for exploring the Tors. Your hosts will be fabulous storytellers. Good breakfast and tea making facilities.

This is my second time to Glastonbury & staying with Diana, such a great safe location less than 5 mins walk from the highstreet. felt right at home staying in Diana's can't wait to come back again next year.

David en Paul zijn duidelijk ervaren hosts. heel aardig, open (en grappig) en super behulpzaam. wij raden deze airbnb van harte aan. Mochten we ooit in de buurt weer wat gaan doen dan komen we graag weer genieten van het heerlijke ontbijt!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Jude. She is a lovely, warm, friendly person and I felt at home straight away. The room in comfortable and quiet. The area is quiet, with off-road parking and lots of countryside walking from the doorstep. There is a pub with very good food (wine not so good!) 10ish mins walk through the village, plus a cute little cafe and convenience store. Perfect stay for me - thanks Jude!

A lovely stay in this little B&B! I was able to check in about an hour early which was great. The room was very clean and as described, and I had a great nights sleep in the comfy bed. Bathroom facilities were very clean too. Had a very filling breakfast made fresh for me to set me up for my day’s hike. The location is right by the town centre near to everything and you can get a bus straight into Barnstaple or out to Croyde/ Saunton a few minutes’ walk away. Friendly and helpful hosts too, thank you for my lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay in Wendy's home whilst visiting Exeter University. Wendy's house is in a perfect location- easily walkable into the city centre and to Exeter St David's. Also only a few minutes walk from Streatham campus. Wendy was very welcoming, the room was pristine and there was a good choice of cereals and hot drinks for breakfast. Thanks, Wendy!

Beverly è gentile, ed anche molto disponibile ad assecondare le mie esigenze pratiche al momento del check out. La casa è confortevole e in una posizione comoda sia per andare in centro, sia per andare alla stazione ferroviaria. Assolutamente consigliata.

We had a wonderful stay here. Both the house and our room were lovely and spacious, exactly what we were hoping for. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from David & Winston the dog which made us feel right at home straight away. We met Claudine later and she was just as friendly and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable, the shower was nice and hot and we had everything we needed for our stay. David came to chat to us as we left and wished us all the best on the rest of our travels which was lovely. Highly recommend! Thank you so much David & Claudine!

We really enjoyed our stay with Jill - she was very easy to talk to and we felt like we had a lot in common with her outlook. The room was lovely with a beautiful garden out back. We relished the rainy mornings listening to the songbirds and the rain pattering on the fauna whilst having a cup of tea. Breakfast was lovely, delicious crusty bread with tasty butter and jam and cereal. It’s also in a great spot, really close to Penmere station and not a long walk into Falmouth either. We’d happily stay again!

I arrived tired after driving through lashing rain. I was made to feel immensely welcome. Everything was very fine indeed and Rachel had put a lot of thought into providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Lovely home, felt relaxed and welcome. Very peaceful so had a great sleep followed by a very generous breakfast. Wish I could have stayed longer - next time!

Anne is a wonderful hostess, gave us a very warm welcome and recommendations! What a beautiful setting and the surroundings! Beautiful house and so quiet and peaceful just what we wanted in the magnificent Devon countryside. Exactly as in the photos and described. We stayed only one night unfortunately but would have loved to have stayed a week it was so beautiful there. Breakfast also was great and fresh sourdough bread Anne had just baked. Had a lovely walk around after breakfast and saw the horses, hens, sheep, stunning landscape and natural beautiful countryside. What a lovely dog Mack they have, he is so timid and welcoming also. Jacquline was lovely and provided great instructions to help us get there, park and get in. The suite was perfect for me and my partner, nice and open, big space to relax in and the amenities that were described - we loved the coffee bags. Location allowed us to drive 20 minutes to coast and organise walks etc whilst also having dinner in lovely seaside villages/towns. Price was about right for the weekend we wanted. Thanks very much for the stay, we had a fantastic weekend.
