Holiday rentals with lake access in New Zealand

Lovely spot , great location with access to the lake, river walk, and easy drive 5 minute drive into Taupo. Well fenced for children and outside bath was a treat. Will be back again next time we visit Taupo

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Peaceful location at the end of a street, we all slept very soundly at this Airbnb. Spacious accommodations, house was nicely set up. Would love to have spent more time here, Rotorua has a lot to offer!

We booked Katrina's place for the Ironman in Taupo and it was amazing! The location was quiet, beautiful, and only 20 minutes from Taupo. It was walkable to a swimming area on the lake and to beautiful trails for running and biking. The house was immaculate and perfectly equipped for a week-long stay. My family and I were so comfortable here, I enjoyed it so much.

Thanks Amanda. We had a fabulous break at your lovely home in Lake Hawea. The lake was breathtaking, we had a brilliant outdoor time on bikes and walks and we loved our meals at the Lake Hawea hotel.

We loved our stay and Gail was a great host. The property was perfect for our large group and we loved the swimming hole down by the river. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a remote get away.

Amazing location - you can easily walk into town along the lake track or drive in (only a few mins drive). You are right on the lake, so the views are stunning, and it’s very peaceful. The apartment itself is self contained which is great if you are staying a few nights.

There is a comprehensive guide book available before check-in, which provides very detailed introductions. The house is also very beautiful. It has a three-story structure and there are three terraces from which you can enjoy the wonderful scenery. Besides, there is a garage.

My husband and I were in town for the NZ Ironman. The location was absolutely perfect. Liz and her partner were very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend if visiting Taupo!

The house felt very welcoming, so much so, we decided to enjoy dinner on the deck rather than eat out. The house had lots of character with all the modern touches. It was great to walk into town Thankyou- this was one of our favourite places to stay

We had 2 lovely nights at Adele's place & could have easily stayed longer. The Boatshed house had lovely views with a couple of little outdoor decks, the top one affording you views to both sides of Lake Okareka & across to the top of Mt Tarawera. Inside it was well compacted & had all the amenities that we needed, & was warm & cosy, with a fan for the hot nights. The bed was comfy as were the couches & everything was spotlessly clean. Adele was a very responsive host who showed us how to get to a sheltered beach to swim. She also spent time answering our many questions about the local bike trails, which was much appreciated. We will definitely come back to stay again one day. Thank you Adele

Fabulous place to stay if you have a family. It could potentially host 2 families. The house is right next to lake Rotorua, so it is easy to take the canoes onto lake Rotorua. All the amenties of home, clean, comfortable and a well equiped kitchen. The host was kind enough to show us around when we arrived and was easy to get in contact. Loved staying there. The view over the lake from the living room, master bedroom was beautiful. There is a back yard by the lake with a bench to have a private picnic or sun bathe in privacy. Great place to stay. Nice and private

The Cottage is spacious, comfortable and really well appointed. A great base for exploring Cromwell and surroundings, and an easy walk to the historic precinct.

stunning, gorgeous, amazing! My wife and I seldom get time away and The Love Shack was the perfect tonic for our busy lives. The venue is super cute, the view is outstanding and the peace is almost tangible. We loved it and will l absolutely stay again and recommend you do too.... just not on the weekend we want it! The use of kayaks and sups just added to the the overall experience

We were two couples travelling together and had a great time here! We cooked each night and enjoyed the surroundings. Both bedrooms were comfortable the doors out to the deck on our room were great. The doors and windows in the whole place allowed for a lovely breeze. The lounge and dining rooms allowed us to eat and relax comfortably, the deck was also a fabulous spot for the afternoon and morning. A great location for an easy walk to the general store, white water kayak watching and the Okere Falls walk too - loved that!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage near Lake Pukaki. The entire family loved it! The cottage is stunning, with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains that you can enjoy from every angle. It truly exceeded our expectations. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It’s also easy to find, which added to the stress-free experience. We had the best time here and didn’t want to leave. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, and we’re already planning to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene holiday with unforgettable views!
