Cabin holiday rentals in New Zealand

What a beautiful spot! Great view from deck, kitchen and hot tub of the volcano and loved having a few different spots to relax depending on time of day. Good distance to the volcano for hiking but also the amenities of the house were great, as well as neighbouring highland cows!

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful eco cabin, Kay was very easy to deal with and having the hot tub ready to go when we arrived was an added bonus! Every little aspect has been well thought out. Highly recommend

The place is blessed with an awesome view. It lights up with fantastic colours in the morning and the moon rises right behind the mountains, with premium front seats from inside the hot tub. It is far from the city, but the host puts so much care and effort into providing the room with all that’s needed that you don’t really feel the need to be anywhere else. Our routine was great, petting baby cows in the morning, breakfast with a view, walk down to the river, then bubbles in the hot tub in the afternoon. All the plant ornaments inside and around the room were real. The good memories the place provided were real. But we still cannot believe we saw two shooting stars going across each other at night. Had a lovely 2 night stay at Mick's place. Excellent location - set up on the hill in quiet farmland made it feel really peaceful but just a short drive to Mangawhai town/shops/restaurants and beaches. The place was clean and tidy with a nice fireplace, and topped off with a hot tub outside under the stars. We loved that we could bring our dog with us and there was plenty of space for him to run around (on a long lead as not fenced). Mick was great to communicate with and we'd love to stay again

A very peaceful oasis set amongst the native bush. We loved the bird song and the vista. It’s was comfortable yet retained some wonderful old world charm. A great way to disconnect. We’ll be back. Thanks Nicola and Kent.

What a beautiful place! Jana and Sean were fantastic hosts. We felt so at home from the moment we arrived. Every single detail had been thought of - bath salts to use in the outdoor bath, every cooking utensil you could ever need and little NZ chocolates on our bed. It was our favourite place we stayed in NZ by far and we cannot wait to stay again one day. The star gazing from the outdoor bath was a highlight. Highly recommend to everyone. This is a great place to stay. So comfortable and so private - a short walk to the most amazing beach - all the comforts of home and a hot tub! Amazing sunset views from the comfort of your own veranda. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this cabin! Beautiful quiet rural location. The cabin is lovely and cosy, and the sauna and outdoor bath are amazing. It’s a great place to unwind and relax! Te Aroha is a very cute little town and the hot springs are worth a visit.

For us, the place was perfect to take the ferry the next morning, which is only 10 min away. Everything you need is available in the accommodation. Even a few welcome greetings were provided for us. We gratefully enjoyed the glass of wine on the directly accessible lake in the evening.

This cabin has amazing views especially if you love the ocean. We enjoyed our stay but there is room for improvement as some things are very worn and need replacing.

I have never used AirBNB before and was so impressed with this place and the hospitality and food provided during our stay. If we elected to cook our own meals, all the facilities were in place. Beds, linen and shower/toilet facilities all clear and functional. Hosts Maggie and Yves were very personable and helpful. I would definitely recommend The Gumboot Lodge as a stay.

A real highlight of our trip to NZ - we are so impressed and inspired by Lee & Terry’s fabulous taste and care of Pau Hana. We felt truly relaxed and taken care of in this space.

It was such a lovely stay at Michael and Linda's Eco Bach. Beautiful property and view if mount Taranaki. Peaceful and private, very homey and comfy. couldn't ask for a better country cottage experience. 😊 Linda was very kind and accommodating since I arrived later when it was dark, she went out of her way to go to the property to turn on a light so it wouldn't be patch black by the time I got there. Thanks again! Would love to come back someday!

What a magical spot. The cabin was comfy and inviting, the beds comfortable, water hot, and the view was out of this world. Loved everything about this wonderful spot.

We had a lovely stay at this cabin, everything was lovely, clean and modern. The bed is comfortable, the kitchenette has everything you need and each cabin was a nice and private. This is the perfect spot if you don’t want to bring a car to the island, it’s easily walkable from the ferry and it’s also a short walk to Oneroa.

What an amazing little get away. So picturesque, quiet and simple. Amazing views and rustic living just what the soul needs. From soaking in the hot tub under the stars listening to the Moore pork and kiwi to lounging on the deck during the day this place was luxury to us. Not too far from some of northlands amazing coastline. Would certainly recommend.

My mum and I had a wonderful stay in Haruru. Delphine, Guillaume and their daughter Toscane welcomed us very warmly. The cabin is very cute, spotless clean and perfect for 2. Great kitchen and bathroom with everything you might need. Delphine has plenty of recommendations of what's not to miss in the area. We had a lovely time with them and highly recommend this place.

If you are looking for 5 star stay try Angie and Gareth's place as it is fantastic. All mod cons you require, picture perfect view as high up a mount, quiet as and they may even provide a few provisions which we found the perfect touch. I cannot recommend highly enough this wonderful place and only a few minutes drive from the Queenstown town centre. The drive up to the abode is pretty steep but we had no issues up or down. Give it a try, you will love it

Corinne's place is a little slice of paradise! The cabins are extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated, and everything feels ultra high quality. The views from the deck are just sublime. We loved sitting on the deckchairs watching the sun set and then stargazing after dark. Just magic. Thank you for a gorgeous stay.
