Cottage holiday rentals in New Zealand

Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

We can't speak highly enough about the place. It's a little haven where the atmosphere and surroundings almost force you to kick back and forget about [almost] everything and just enjoy. The surrounding areas compliment the accommodations, and the local people reflect the laid-back approach to life. With pristine beaches, great food from the local cafes and restaurants through to the weekend markets there is something for everyone here.

this place was great. we loved the views, the spa, comfy bed, nice big shower. very clean, everything we expected. when someone is staying at the other property (the black building seen in one of the listing pics) we kinda lost the sense of complete privacy outside, but both dwellings are oriented to take in the amazing views and the reality is we never actually saw anyone from the other property. it had a great sense of feeling away from it all while being less than 90 mins from Akl city. beautiful starry sky at night. we would happily stay again!

Excellent place to stay. Your hosts are super friendly and welcoming and the room was well equipped and perfect size. The soak under the stars was amazing!

The cottage was lovely - everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything was very clean and tidy. We only stayed one night but wish it could have been longer.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Cathy's cottage, so much so that we wished we could've stayed longer. We felt right at home and were greeted by a beautiful garden and charming cottage exterior. The cottage was on a quiet street but a walkable distance to the main street in Greytown. Cathy was an excellent host, contacting us to understand our needs before we arrived and giving clear instructions for how to access the accommodation. I would recommend staying at Cathy's if you are visiting Greytown and we hope that we can stay again on our next trip.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Clare’s place. The house is in a small peaceful village and we enjoyed exploring the area and neighbouring areas of Mt Cook and Tekapo. The house was well-equipped with a full kitchen, washing machine (& dryer!) and comfortable beds with great linen. The hot tub outside was a wonderful addition & is well worth the extra fee! We had poor weather for 2 of the days we were there and were so happy to be in such a wonderful house. We went to Lake Ohau for their set menu lunch on one of these days, it was lovely. We would highly recommend booking this place for those looking to explore the area! Just make sure you do a supermarket shop prior to coming to the area as there is no shop in the village and only one smaller supermarket in Twizel. This was no issue for us as we had done a shop prior, but just something to be aware of when planning. Thank you Clare!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Within 10 minutes of arriving we were sitting on the front patio enjoying the beautiful view. We had a great stay !

A lovely little cottage; close to beautiful Pohara beach, with great access to Takaka and all the surrounding attractions of Golden Bay. Spotlessly clean with a relaxed vibe, the cottage had everything we needed during our stay. Being pet friendly meant our two dogs could join in the adventure; a real bonus. Thanks for hosting us.

This place had everything we need for staying in the area. Walkable to all the great restaurants. Nice guidebook and great facilities. Would stay here again.

A wonderfully cozy cottage! What a great find! The cottage is comfortable, spacious and clean. I felt right at home. Dean and Annie were very friendly hosts, who took the time to chat with me and introduce me to their family and pets. I can highly recommend staying here :)

Jody's place was amazing. We had been travelling around the south island and then due to weather and some car trouble had to change our accomodation to stay near the glacier another night! Jody managed to accommodate us on short notice, and her Airbnb was one of the nicest we stayed in across the whole trip! The place was spotless, nicely furnished, and the hot tub with a view was very highly appreciated! She was able to accommodate an extra person on the sofa for a minimal additional few, which was also very kind. Definitely a great place to stay, and significantly nicer than lots of the neighbouring lodges and motels.

Lovely location, off the main road so very quiet. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Would definitely stay again, perhaps longer next time.

We loved the cottage for a family getaway. Great value for 2 separate bedrooms and a large living space. Meg and Kevin were super friendly and happy with our little boy running around and playing on the section. Thank you so much!

Kath's cottage was peaceful and secluded. The accommodation itself was clean and included everything needed for a short stay. The balcony overlooking the countryside with the sea in the distance was beyond anything i could have ever expected. The bushwalks on her property were an added bonus, that made me feel like I was connected to the place. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the Coromandel. It is unique and very private.

A beautiful place to stay. Quiet and peaceful, but not far from Oneroa. Super responsive hosts and we would happily stay here again.

Second stay at this Bach and just as restorative as remembered. Secluded, private, peaceful, surrounded by nature and farm life. The house is super clean and has everything you need, and if you forget anything its only a 10min drive to Featherstone. Bed is comfortable with gorgeous linen. Claire is so lovely and was really responsive with any questions we had. Can't wait to return

An easy no-contact check-in. A delightful and rustic accommodation. There was plenty of gas for a very long, hot bath outside. Thanks for a great stay.
