I stayed at Whakatīwai for three nights while I was working in the area. Roimata and Hunter were absolutely wonderful hosts: friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for better location. The views from the Airbnb were stunning, and it was so lovely to go for morning and evening walks. Spotlessly clean. The wi fi was good, too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Fantastic stay in beautiful surroundings. The house is really relaxing with plenty of space for everyone. Great dining options inside or outside to enjoy the weather and views. Being able to see the stars from bed was magical. Would thoroughly recommend. To top everything off we saw dolphins from the beach on our last morning.

Beautiful home, perfectly set up with everything you might need. Very cosy, lovely furnishings, linen & little details. The fire was a treat & kept entire place warm for my elderly mum. Melanie is a great host, very helpful, thoughtful & went the extra mile to make our stay a perfect one. highly recommend.

Great shower pressure, well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, grass for the dog. It felt like a real home with lots of basics in case you forgot something. Hard to find the driveway and get up it, but once you've done it once you're good to go. A bit remote from shops, but that's a good thing. It was so peaceful and the views were amazing. Particularly the sunrise.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. It was cozy and set in a stunning location. Ray, Colleen and their labradoodle were fantastic hosts - great communication and very accommodating throughout our stay. This place had a special charm to it, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful place to spend the night.

Really enjoyed our one night stay right on the water. Place was as described, small but clean, plenty big enough for us and lovely linen and very comfortable bed. Great that it was pet friendly too. Would definitely recommend it.

Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

We had an awesome time at the Beachside Bliss. Everything was just WOW. Ian made us feel right at home. The layout of the place is so kids friendly and safe. This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

We loved everything about this property and couldn’t fault anything at all. The location, the cleanliness and amenities, everything was perfect. We would definitely be back!

We booked the apartment because of the epic view of the beach and it surely didn’t disappoint. We did wish the windows were cleaner so we could enjoy the view from inside the house too but understandably this was inevitable. We didn’t like that you have to pick up and drop off the key from another location during check in and check out, which is 10 mins drive from the apartment itself so if you don’t have a car then you might wanna look elsewhere. Tv remote wasn’t working and we couldn’t watch anything we want on the Tv without it. There was a super strict list of rules and a deposit needs paying via an app( which we weren’t told clearly about upon booking) . I still Don’t know if deposit has been returned or not, a confirmation of this would have been nice! Overall though we think it’s a great apartment- it is really roomy, beds are comfortable, great shower, and kitchen is very well equipped. :) many thanks for hosting us !

Rhys and Kas’s home exceeded every expectation we had. The view is truly beyond words—something you have to experience to believe. From sunrise to sunset, it felt like living in a postcard. The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The short walk to the beach was one of our favorite parts—just a few minutes through a gorgeous, peaceful trail that felt like a hidden gem. Our kids loved it, and we soaked in every moment as a family. Rhys and Kas were an exceptional hosts—kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. This home offered us the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. We can’t recommend it enough and would come back in a heartbeat!

The check-in experience is fantastic, the room has some issues about bed sheet and pillow, but they changed another room for us without hesitated, which is respectful and helpful. The place is perfectly silent and a good place to find your peace in mind, the pod toilet is extremely clean, have a kitchen and don’t worries about where to throw compost, also the shower room is clean, differently visit again with my camping gear.

Absolutely loved our stay here - it's a stunning place with everything you need and amazing views! it's just a little walk down to the beach, or a 10 minute drive to driving creek railway which is well worth a visit when you're in the area. Judith was lovely and very clear with her instructions. Would definitely stay here again!

This is an absolutely charming apartment to stay in and we enjoyed it immensely. Lynne is the perfect host - warm and welcoming but also attentive to our needs. There was a selection of goodies when we arrived and she baked the most amazing fresh muffins for us the following morning. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated with an inspiring collection of furniture and framed photographs. There is also a bookcase with a discerning and eclectic collection of books if you’re interested in reading- which I was. The real highlight of the apartment is the view. There is wide, expansive view of Auckland’s harbour and you are not overlooked by any of the neighbouring houses. Sitting there on the super comfy couch, with a cup of tea while looking out on the water is simply bliss. Overall, this a marvellous place to stay and simply on a higher level to many other similar apartments. We highly recommend it and will certainly come back.

A few photographers stayed for a few nights. We had an amazing time enjoying this quiet and beautiful beach location. Highly recommended for a break from the big smoke. Thank you

Definitely coming back maybe in summer to enjoy the sea more. Probably the best place to enjoy the beautiful Porirua. Gorgeous sunset just right at the front! Thank you for the view, hospitality and not to forget your top tier homemade cheese scones as mentioned by everyone else!

CJ and Albie's oasis exceeded expectations on our short stay in the Northland! Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. We'd love to return and spend more time on the private beach and in the beautiful gardens. We did get to enjoy evenings overlooking the beautiful view and grilling in the gardens - highly recommend spending as much time in this carefully crafted space as possible. Every detail from the welcome to the custom and comfy furniture was well thought out and appreciated. Topnotch hosts and location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Justine’s. the views were amazing, very quiet and peaceful. The place smelt amazing all weekend, very clean and had great amenities. We loved the personalised touches - welcome message on arrival and chocolates on the bed. The spa was very clean which we appreciated! Justine’s very friendly and left clear instructions and also good recommendations for Raglan Town. Will rebook, thanks again Justine 😊
