This is Iizuna Kogen, a quiet villa area at an altitude of about 1000 m. A simple log house built new in 2022, with a strong scent of wood. You can discover many beautiful views in a 10-minute walk. Please be sure to take a look at Mt. Iizuna from Lake Daiza-Hoshi. It's about a 3-minute walk from the nearest bus stop (Iizuna Higashi-ku)! The next closest bus stop (Iizuna Kogen) is about a 7-minute walk away. You can also get here by public transport. Restaurants such as Mori no Eki, Iizuna Soba, ramen, and hamburgers are also within walking distance. About 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple. About 15 minutes by car to Togakushi Shrine. It is also an ideal base for golf and skiing in the Togakushi, Kurohime and Myoko areas. Please also use it for climbing the Togakushi Kodo, Amatomi Trail, and Mt. Iizuna. If you would like to visit a hot spring, it is about 15 minutes by car to Tengu no Yakata on Lake Reisenji. For a large public bath, Asobiba is about 5 minutes away by car. There is a discount on the bath fee. We lend out a projector and screen free of charge. Play games or have a screening party on the big screen. We also recommend relaxing with a barbecue, a campfire, or a tent sauna. Please book in advance for the rental of a complete BBQ set, tarpaulin, sauna tent, stove, etc. Please book all rentals in advance. Of course, you can also bring your own.

Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery, and the forest where the stream flows.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see small birds, squirrels, and raccoons, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. At the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy a BBQ or campfire without worrying about the weather. It is ideal as a base for hiking, fishing, paddleboarding and golf in the green season, and as a base for winter sports in the snow season. It is a quiet, small, cozy guest house. The deck is spacious enough for about 6 people to have a barbecue, etc. Please note that it may feel a little cramped for 4 adults. Since it is a mountain forest, there are insects, but we carefully control insects in the guest house. Please understand if they enter during your stay. If you are not good with insects, etc., I think you will have a little resistance, so please book with that in mind. In winter, it gets below freezing around here. Please note that the heating facilities in this guest house are mainly kerosene stoves and kerosene fan heaters. We also have electric appliances, but if you use too much, the safety device will work (smart meter) and the electricity in the house will flash, so please do not use a lot of electric appliances at once. An earth leakage meter is also installed. A 1000 square meter private villa with 7 spaces. The entire "Rock Forest" has seven main concepts. We offer each "way of spending time". After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!
