Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mill Valley

Absolutely loved our stay! The house is a feast for the eyes—every room is filled with unique and thoughtful artwork that made it feel more like a gallery than a rental. The beds were incredibly comfortable (we all slept like rocks), and the host left clear, helpful instructions for everything from check-in to the coffee maker. Speaking of which, the coffee in the fridge was unexpectedly great—a rare and welcome touch. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates comfort with a creative flair!

This is an absolute gem of a place nestled in the redwoods. So close to everything yet so far away from the typical city noises and commotion. House has everything you need to enjoy your stay and the hosts are extremely helpful and communicative. 15 min walk to downtown with amazing restaurants and shops. Close to Sausalito, Tiburon and SF. A tourist dream stay here with the Bay Area at your fingertips, or a wonderful staycation for locals. Look no further and worry not about your reservation or hosts. Parking can be a bit challenging with steep hills and narrow streets, but so worth negotiating this one small piece for the peace you will feel under a canopy of redwoods. Lots of space, clean, cozy fireplace, easy entry and has all you need in the kitchen to prepare your own meals if desired. Hosts were wonderful and highly recommend a stay here! Thank you!!

What a serene respite away into such a calm, beautiful, thoughtful space. Pack what you need and just stay awhile, the environment is one where you never want to leave. Very comfy bed, such thoughtful decor, and a calming outdoor space. It's tucked into a little neighborhood in Bolinas with dirt roads and the best smells imaginable : ) that's west Marin for you. Alina is an incredible host.

I'm tempted to only say horrible lies about this place, because I want to keep this gem all to myself. But I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. The location was gorgeous, the interior design was beautiful, and the hot tub in the middle of the redwoods was just the cherry on top.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Peter and Monica’s beautiful place… we highly recommend and would stay again! Everything was clean, welcoming and as described!

We stayed for a week here and had a fantastic time. The place is lovely and Brittney was a gracious and responsive host. Fairfax is a great little town to explore and I highly recommend the hiking trail within walking distance from Deer Park. The queen bed is in an older frame that causes a lot of noise/creaking from movement, so if you’re a light sleeper or move around a lot in your sleep, I would take this into consideration. Regardless, we’d definitely love to return in the future.

We only spent two nights at the house and we don’t have nothing negative to say. The house’s decoration and amenities make that you only relax and enjoy the nature.

Yeshi's home is a museum of colorful artwork from her travels around the world. Wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

A great property on the lower slopes of Mount Tam. Only a couple of miles from Hwy 1, so access to Bay Area dining, recreation and culture is quick and easy. Highly recommended.

Amazing place in downtown Mill Valley. If you’ve never been to Mill Valley, do yourself a favor and stay here. Walk to restaurants, shopping, hiking and close to the city. Highly recommend this place!

Ottoline’s place was safe, comfortable, peaceful, and clean. It was perfect for our weekend in the area. Otto was very helpful and responsive, and the place itself had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and kitchen was great to make food from the Whole Foods nearby. I would highly recommend.

My older teen kids and I had a great stay while visiting my sister who lives in Mill Valley. There is a nice grocery store and Walgreens a walkable distance to pick up what you might need. Mill Valley is beautiful with plenty of restaurants and great hikes a short distance away and also a quick drive into San Francisco. Stacey was a very responsive host and provided lots of information about the area and helpful hints for those that are first time visitors. Having a washer and dryer was key, so we could pack lighter and bring those layers for the foggy and/or windy days.

Nicole and her place were perfect for what I needed. She is a warm and gracious host and I will be staying there again. Thank you!!

This place was wonderful. So peaceful. I watched seabirds dive into the water and pelicans swim by. What a beautiful little getaway.

Our hosts were very responsive and very kind. They covered all the bases — had everything we needed and the space had stylish furniture and chic design. We loved relaxing on the sofa and watching games on the TV or the bed. The swivel stand is great. The bathroom was spacious. I savored my morning coffee with the views out the patio, beautiful. We’re looking forward to returning in the future.

Nice cozy place and good location.

Lovely place in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Amazing views if you walk two blocks north. You can walk to the Lyon steps which has lovely views of the bay and stunning homes surrounding it . Fillmore St has a lot of shops and restaurants and is a fairly flat walk from the apartment. Get a croissant at La Boulange on Pine St. absolutely fabulous.

Nader, We love the Deco and the Vibes of the home. Toilet has heated seats and in-Built Bidet spray for your Ehem-ehems! Toaster,water boiler,many pans, oven, microwave, he has everything u need. I asked about Aircon🙈. We did. not need aircon as The weather is so nice and cold at Night (11degrees 13-18Jun). We loved that Nader is a responsive and responsible host. My 15yr old son had a home accident and broke a hanging light fixture at the dining area as he stood up. We informed Nader of the issue. Super-host asked "firstly, is your son okay? Does he need medical attention? I have a first aid kit in the home". Super-host Wins!!! (Inna haza larizkunna mallahu minnafad. Amiin Amiin Amiin) - our doas to Allah SWT to grant you more Rezki for providing us a safe great home to stay. Boys wanna come back to SFO and re-stay at your home again! Thank you Nader

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.

Amy met me to give me the keys and walked me through the condo to explain everything. It was a very personal approach. She also reached out to me the first morning to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was spotless and very high end. The place was very quiet and peaceful. I especially enjoyed the patio. I would highly recommend Amy's place to anyone looking for a base to enjoy San Francisco. I intend to stay again the next time I need a place in San Francisco for a few days.
