Moonacre Yurt

EmmaRating, 5 stars71 months ago
We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

Buzzard Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

GarethRating, 5 stars9 months ago
A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

Gorgeous Yurt in Dorset "Daisy" sleeping 4

LindaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is our first time glamping with our toddler and we made the right decision choosing this place. My toddler had plenty to do which meant I had few hours of undisturbed time. The kitchen is a nice welcoming space for all the families and we made some friends on our trip. We are talking about going here again with some friends.

Beautiful Rural Yurt with Wood Fired hot tub

IonaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

Bracken - Luxury en-suite yurt near Bridport

DanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Had an absolutely lovely couple of nights at the site for New Year's. The site was peaceful and in a beautiful location. The yurt was amazing, excellent wood burner, lovely furnishings and the heated sheets were great too. Nick was very welcoming and helpful (we didnt get the chance to meet Molly), lovely chap and we made use of the table tennis and i braved a dip in the lake, which was great! Close proximity to several pubs and plenty of food options in Bridport itself too, as well as many amazing areas to visit on the Jurassic Coast. We will happily be back at some point, this has been one of the best Airbnb visits ive had, so would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going!

Willow Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

FayRating, 5 stars24 months ago
We had a lovely stay in Willow yurt, as a family of four. The yurt and the site facilities are excellent. We loved the open space around the yurt and really appreciated the dedicated fridge and bathroom facilities in the barn. The evening bat walk with Katie was an added bonus which we all enjoyed.

AlunRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our long weekend in the yurt. The yurt was brilliant, really nice and cosy. There was lots of space for the kids to run around. Verity was great and provided lots of local recommendations, which was really useful. She even let the kids help feed the goats. We will definitely be going back.

We had a great glamping experience. The staff onsite were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We couldn't thank them enough. The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable and the hot tubs were amazing. Our four yr old son loved the experience and so did we.

Cosy Yurt set In beautiful countryside. Log stove

MaryRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

Yarlington Yurt Tower

MárcioRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really loved our time in Torre Cider Farm. The farm is beautiful and the yurt was greatly located inside the trees. It was very peaceful. The yurt and kitchen was as clean as we expect it to be (for a glamping experience with outside kitchen), the bed was very confy. The farm has a few farm animals and a play area, which our son loved. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm. Great for families with children. There is a good pub around 500m from the farm, serves good good. The farm also has a cafe, but unfortunately we werent able to try the pizzas and the ciders as it was closed on Sunday for a great event in town (wheelbarrow race). But we'll definitely come back to try it. 👌 Just a minor note, the yurts have covers for the side "windows", it would be great to provide one for the top one. As we had children, we had to "covered it" with a picnic blanket otherwise it gets bright very early in the morning.

Puddle duck the yurt🦆🦉🦡🐓

AprilRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Alison is a kind, helpful, and attentive host who went above and beyond during our stay. The Yurt was cosy, beautiful, and peaceful. Despite the rain and wind our stay was idyllic and cosy, the log burner was fantastically warm. Alison also kindly picked us up from the train station, even offering to take us to a local supermarket for food and offering us a lift back to the yurt from the local town. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see a lot of wildlife due to the weather, but the area was so peaceful and beautiful that this was easy to look past! The hot tub was wonderful too, it gave the space a real spa retreat feel. Alison provided us croissants for breakfast as well as tea and coffee in the yurt. Everything was clean and easy to use. The hot water wasn’t working during our stay but that was nothing a par-boiled kettle couldn’t fix! This was the perfect winter alternative to camping, thank you for a magical anniversary trip Alison! We can’t wait to come back again!!

If you looking for weekend away to recharge your batteries this is the place to stay. Very welcoming and extremely quiet. The cafe on site is amazing and always our first port of call in the morning. Plenty of space to make you feel isolated between other tents. I will be definitely recommending black pig retreat to friends and family.

Unique timber yurt, stunning views and use of pool

Chris Rating, 5 stars5 months ago
My life is transformed. Never would I ever of believed that a round wooden cabin would fill my heart with so much warmth and gratitude. The optical illusion, the miniature door, the abundance of blankets and fluffy rugs, the walk to the toilet that made me appreciate the Yurt even more; this Yurt is beyond words existing in the farthest galaxy of cosmic madness. Yurt really is love and Yurt really is life. Thank you ✨️

Thank you Sandy and crew for a lovely stay again, this is our third visit and our absolute favourite place to come for tranquility and peace. My children thoroughly enjoyed and they were delighted to be welcomed in to listen to some live ‘open mic’ singing. They loved making friends with the resident dogs also ❤️We didn’t want to come home! We will be back again next year and hopefully the festival will be on which we will come to for sure! x

Yurt with lake views within 20acres

AndreaRating, 5 stars36 months ago
A delightful, quirky rural escape with plenty of Somerset’s attractions on your doorstep. A few suggestions for your stay: Embrace being woken at dawn by the birdsong. (Or bring an eye mask and ear plugs). The day’s sun will keep the yurt toastie, but you’ll probably need the fire of the evening. My escapes don’t involve me cooking, but if you want to, you may need a few extras eg forks, chopping board, seasonings and enough imagination to work your magic with a two-ring gas burner and a kettle. There’s plenty of nearby pubs, we enjoyed the Oakhill Inn. There’s a little bit of a walk/dash to the facilities block, I’d suggest a dressing gown and an umbrella. And finally, no need to worry about bad weather; we survived an incredible thunderstorm and lightning and everything was good. In all a lovely alternative stay, we adored the location and the work that’s gone in to making this an environmentally-friendly wildlife spot.

Peaceful Nature Cabins at Higher Farm

MadelineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Amazing experience from start to finish. All the people at the farm were wonderfully welcoming and generous with their time. Thank you Tay for the extra special welcome for us, it was the perfect start to our trip. We were lucky enough to be able to sit on the deck with the Chiminea going strong, a glass of bubbly, watching the sun set behind Glastonbury Tor...priceless! Yurt was spotless, beautifully furnished and a super comfortable bed. Proper bathroom with flushing toilet was the icing on the cake for a middle-aged woman who gets up a lot in the night :) We will be back again and will try and come when the Farm Caff is open, as I'm sure that's great too. Thank you for a really memorable stay.
