Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lavapiés, Centro

Great apartment in a good location. A bit far from the center but we were visiting friends that live in the area so it was perfect for us.

We spent a week in Pilar's beautiful home. The location is easily walkable to the metro restaurants, museums etc. We enjoyed eating at the various restaurants nearby -- none more than a block or two from the apartment. Havana Blues (two blocks from apt) for cuban sandwiches, La Princessa on the opposite corner from our block apt for amazing dolmas, chicken shawarma and belly dancing. The mercado is two blocks away for cheese fresh seafood and vegetables. Lots of coffee and pastry options. Pilar gave us a personal overview of how everything worked in the apartment. The kitchen is completely stocked. We probably spent most of our time out on the terrace, which also has a cute little sleeping cottage. There is a large retractable awning to offer shade in the hot part of the day. We sat outside every night and the large conversation couch offers plenty of seating. Pilar is a lovely host and is extremely responsive. We highly recommend.

My stay was AMAZING. The loft apartment is even more stunning in person than in pictures. The terrace is amazing & the bathroom is brand new. I stayed for a month and the apartment is great equipped. Plenty of sheets, towels, and closet space. The wifi was also great. The location is extremely convenient. Everywhere was walkable and extremely safe. It’s right by a lot of restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this spot to anyone! The host, Marga, is very responsive and kind. One of the best airbnbs I ever stayed at.

We stayed a month for the whole family and we are especially happy for the facilities offered by Francisco, who facilitated us flexible entry, making it easier to carry suitcases beforehand so that the entrance and logistics were simpler with the children.

In one word - AMAZING. The apartment was great, cosy and we felt right at home. The beds were comfortable and there was so much space to put our stuff away. The kitchen had everything we needed. The work area was a great surprise! The area is vibrant and there are tons of things to do just a few minutes away. We can’t wait for a chance to come back!!

My Spanish wife and I stayed for the entire month of April. We visit Spain most every year so we can visit her family. Lovely place, we loved the location: Close to TWO metro stations, a great supermarket and LOTS of shopping and restaurants. Even though we were close to the center, it did not feel over touristy, we felt like we were really living in a Spanish neighborhood. We loved the big, luxurious master bath, though we never used the bathtub. The second bathroom is tiny, NOT for big people. We never had to use the heat or A/C so I cannot comment on that. Gigi is a good host. Absolutely recommend!

The apartment was very nice and centrally located, the host was very nice. Small things could have been more optimal, but on the whole a nice stay in Madrid.

Joanna is so responsive, helpful, and genuinely kind. She provided the perfect home away from home for our time in Madrid. Not only is it located is an absolute picturesque and walkable neighborhood, allowing us to experience the city as locals…her balcony served as the a stunning location for our first look wedding photos. 10/10

It is a small apartment in the basement area of the building is accessed by a patio. The apartment is small but functional, what you see in the photos is what there is. The great location, very close to the Wizink in a very quiet area. I felt like home, I stayed for a week and used it to sleep. It would lack a range hood to be able to cook without filling everything with the smell of food. Laura was an excellent host, always attentive to any questions and needs.

We stayed for a week at this wonderful apartment, and I couldn’t recommend it more. Diego was so communicative and helpful, the apartment was exactly as advertised (beautiful!), and the location was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone, but it was great for our family of 4. I’d stay here again any time.

Pedro's apartment was spotless. All very clean. Pedro was very receptive at check in and the location is wonderful. We had a counter time with noise coming from the neighbors and Pedro came personally to solve. Always very attentive and quick to respond to us. We like it very much and we will be back for sure.

The accommodation is peaceful and pleasant. A Dia supermarket is just diagonally, very convenient and offering attractive prices. The bedroom is very comfortable, with a great mattress, which helps to feel the warm atmosphere of the house. The welcome was warm, with clear explanations, especially regarding access to the garage. The building is equipped with an elevator, which is very convenient for luggage.

Santiago is an amazing host—kind, attentive, and always available when needed. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The space is small, but cozy and inviting, with a warm, homely feel. All the pretty plants made it feel like a genuine home rather than one of those impersonal apartments with plastic decor. It’s also very clean and well-maintained. Oh and the bed is super comfy! If I could give him 6 stars, I would! Highly recommended 100%!

Wow! Juan Antonio tracked our flight and saw we were delayed and accommodated us upon arrival. He graciously walked through the house and functions, shared tips on museums, recommended great running trails, and left a lovely continental breakfast for us. We were a group of four adults and four teens and the space was perfect (no kids had to share beds!) there were plenty of linens, and the living room set up allowed for kids to play games while adults chatted, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. You are steps from Plaza de Espana and Temple Debod and less than 10 minutes walking to the palace. The area had tons of dining options and felt incredibly safe.

He is an exceptional host - incredibly responsive, understanding, and provided fantastic local recommendations and helpful information. When we made a mistake with our booking, he accommodated us immediately without any hassle. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of four; having two bedrooms and two full bathrooms was a real luxury. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to a bus station and within walking distance to the metro. Plus, the area felt peaceful and secure. We had an amazing experience and would definitely stay at Francisco's place again. Highly recommend and 5 bright stars!

great accommodation in Madrid, very close to Retiro Park and the center can be reached in a few minutes by metro. Nieves is a great host, always available, and for information and questions, he responds in a short time with advice. i recommend it!

José was a very nice host and we felt very comfortable. Location is perfect, right in the center and yet pleasant from the sounds. We will be happy to come back.

Wonderful apartment, very clean, in a very quiet place and close to Madrid . Clean, everything is done to be welcomed . A mercadona is next door , you can walk there. Close to restaurants! I woulddefinitely recommend this apartment! You can book without a second thought . Thank you again for hosting us, unforgettable stay for us!

Spectacular location! We were looking for accommodation near the IFEMA fairground and we can't be closer, just 5 minutes. Also in the surroundings of the house there are several restaurants on foot, which made our work stay in this house easy. Very smooth communication with the host. Ademñas, very good welcome, the house has everything, sugar, lece, infusions, cafes. We actually repeated this year.

We had a great stay at Lorena’s place. It was easy access to and from Atocha. The accommodations were also perfect for our 8-month old daughter.
