The alpine hut, newly built in 2000, is very quiet and lonely at an altitude of 1,430 m in the Wandberg area, near Lake Walchsee Here you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Zahmer and Wilder Kaiser. Ideal swimming is possible in the nearby Walchsee. In winter the hut is accessible on foot, (in summer by car) ..with touring skis, snowshoes (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours walking time), … Luggage transport if required (€50 per trip) depending on the snow conditions, also for individual persons.

Das Wohnzimmer mit Schwedenofen ist mit seiner großzügigen Eckbank der zentrale Treffpunkt im Haus. Die Küche verfügt über alles neuwertige Geräte. Alle notwendigen Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden sowie ein kleiner Essbereich. Außerdem verfügt das Haus über zwei moderne Bäder im Erdgeschoss, die jeweils mit Dusche und WC ausgestattet sind. Zusätzlich gibt es ein separates WC  im OG. Insgesamt hat das Ferienhaus 4 Schlafzimmer, davon 3 Doppelbettzimmer sowie ein Zimmer mit Stockbett.

Es verfügt über helle Räume, die aufgeteilt sind in: 2 Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbetten, einer Wohnküche, einem Badezimmer mit Dusche und Waschbecken und Toilette und einem extra WC. Abgerundet wird die Wohnung mit einem kleinen Balkon mit direktem Blick auf den Rettenstein. Im Garten befindet sich ein Spielplatz für die Kinder sowie eine Sitzgelegenheit.
