We retain the original properties of the machiya by using a lot of wood materials, and design of hollow-out and high ceilings and embellishment of cement and steel elements give this house a sense of modernity. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan, and also the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship.

Kyoto no Oyado Yorisuke is a 5-minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo Station, and is a private rental house.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. This house was built more than 100 years ago (survived WW2 and some great earthquakes), and was renovated recently. It is located just 1min away from Hiroo subway station (Hibiya-line). Hiroo is one of most popular residential neighborhood in Tokyo. There are many restaurants and shops in Hiroo and it is very easy to access to Ebisu, Roppongi (3min by subway), Shibuya and Omote-sando (within 3km).
