Cottage holiday rentals in Hokujo

Great house for me and my 6 friends. Walking distance to the town, roughly 10 minutes Rubbish was always grabbed if put in the outside bin. Great communication Host come and cleaned house half way through our stay and also restocked towels and kitchen

The cottage is located behind the hotel in a quiet location. You can't enter through the back entrance in winter because it is snowy, so you have to go around the outside through the snow to the main entrance. In itself no problem but if you just come out of the warm onsen a little too bad. The onsen was not the most clean and had two warm pools, one inside and one outside. All in all, we were very satisfied as the room was very spacious, bright and warm.

I had a great stay at Kim and Machiko's cottage. They were very friendly, and Kim in particular spoke to my wife and I for a long time on various subjects, in English. I hope to visit them again soon.

Koichiro was a great host and very accommodating. The house was lovely and very comfortable for 2 couples. Location was great and only a short walk from all the shops in echoland. Had a few resort shuttle buses nearby to choose from. We had a wonderful time and will sure be back again.

Loved staying in this cozy cabin during our ski trip. The surrounding town was very quiet so we needed to go out early for dinner, but the lake and forests were beautiful. We had a car so getting to surrounding ski fields was no problem at all.

I stayed with friends for one night. They were very kind and accommodating, and we had a pleasant stay.

One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had across many countries and years. Had a group of six of us stay. Patrick coordinated with us to pick us up from the station, offered to drive us to gather groceries, and made time to drop us off when we left. Took time to make sure we were comfortable, understood how to use the homes features, and gave us plenty of information on what to do in the area, even down to giving us updates on mountain weather each morning and making recommendations on which ski field to go to each day based on changing weather conditions. He was invaluable and a super friendly and helpful host. Thanks mate! See you next time!

It is close to Kurohime Kogen Snow Park, and the cafe where you can eat ski slopes at lunch on weekdays was a holiday, so I was able to make time to go home and rest. It was easy to walk the dog, and the snow scenery in the morning was great. Many amenities were also provided, such as towels, toothbrushes, kitchen nets, garbage bags, etc., which was helpful. I would like to use it again in the summer.

Patrick was always very responsive and helpful even he was note in Hakuba by that time when we were staying . The place is clean, comfortable and with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage is located in a convenient location, close to many restaurants and all local amenities. We were quite enjoyed in our stay and will definitely consider to come back again.

Beautiful, clean and cozy home Japanese style so very minimal design. Just a 6 minute drive to Hakuba 47 trails Host Ian is the best! Loved it! Wish we stayed longer

We were greeted very warmly by the owner of the house as soon as we drove there☺️.The room is clean and well equipped.And as soon as you enter the house, there is a scent that creates a cozy atmosphere for a vacation that we relaxed and enjoyed!👍🏼Thank you for the house for our full enjoyment and rest.

The Shack was perfect for our family of 4… super cozy, lovely design, great lighting, and the most comfortable bed I have enjoyed in Japan thus far! Our hosts were very helpful, with great communication. The car was super useful to get around, bc it’s a bit outside of town. Early Summer meant the town was very quiet, and not many bars or restaurants were open, but we took advantage of the excellent local Coop to buy amazing fresh meats & produce, and cooked or grilled at the house. It was a nice change of pace after Tokyo.

The cottage was in a perfect location and within walking distance from plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as the shuttle bus stops. Vaughan and Mayumi have equiped the cottage with everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. Would absolutely look to book here again if we ever make it back to Hakuba.

We had a wonderful stay at the cozy cabin in Hakuba! It had all the essentials we needed, making our winter getaway super comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking, and the location was perfect for skiing. The only downside was the hard double mattress, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. We’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a charming and convenient stay!

Homely feeling cute cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but a 8min walk right into the heart of it! Close to cafes/restaurant’s/bus stops/bars and food trucks. Everything is provided, and Takeshi responds to all our questions in a professional manner. Would stay again!

The accommodation was very comfortable. Especially around the kitchen, it was very clean, and there were plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, so it was very helpful when cooking. It was very good to experience the extraordinary experience of staying in the warehouse!

Everything is great as long as you have a car. Without one, it’s quite inconvenient due to the heavy snow, with sidewalks outside the property completely blocked, making it challenging to get around. Thankfully, they provide a bus service to transport guests from the station to the property and back after checkout, which is really helpful. I’d definitely return here if I had a car!

We stayed with a family of five from elementary school to high school children.Be impressed by the beautiful snowy mountains behind the fresh greenery, enjoy activities where you can experience nature, and BBQ with hakuba pork and local vegetables while warming up with a bonfire.It was a beautiful memory of my family.It was a comfortable stay without any inconvenience.Thank you very much.I'll visit again!

It is about a 30-40-minute drive from Hakuba Ski Resort, and there is also a hot spring and rice restaurant nearby. I think it is cheap and recommended for those who don't want to stay in a nearby hotel and want to stay in a pension, etc.!
