Based in Azumino/Ikeda-cho in autumn, embark on a journey to enjoy the spectacular views of the Northern Alps and the autumn foliage. From September to November, the autumn leaves gradually descend from the mountains to the villages in Shinshu. You can enjoy autumn scenery unique to each region, including Hakuba Happo Pond, Kamikochi, and the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route. During the day, head to the mountains and plateaus to see the autumn foliage. When I get back, I'll relax in the sauna and the cold water bath. Please enjoy a quiet time in the countryside at night, with a BBQ and the starry sky. It is a private rental that can accommodate up to 12 people, so it is recommended not only for family or group trips, but also for couples and small groups. Conveniently located as a base for sightseeing in Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama Kurobe.There is also a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay even for extended periods. You can also come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off is available at Shinano Matsukawa Station and Meisha Station.Other transfers and sightseeing transfers are available for ¥2,000 to ¥8,000 (return) within 2 hours one-way.For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange car rental, so please consult with us in advance. October and November are the seasons to enjoy the autumn leaves and the quiet of Shinshu. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!
