Holiday rentals with lake access in East Sussex

Tim was a super and very responsive host. The property is nicely furnished and centrally located. The only point I would make is that if you have toddlers / small children, you should be aware that the front door is right next to a busy road (with only about 1 metre of pavement) so attention is needed when accessing the property. Inside, the stairs to the bedrooms are rather steep, so your children should be clearly told that they are not for playing on! Thanks a lot Tim for a nice stay.

We had a lovely stay at this cozy cottage! It looks exactly like the photos—very charming and idyllic, with a beautiful garden that adds to the peaceful vibe. If you’re traveling with pets, this is a great spot—our dog had a great time roaming freely in the secure, enclosed garden, which also offers a lot of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, though it’s a bit on the smaller side, as is the living area. That said, there’s plenty of storage space throughout the cottage, which made it very convenient for a longer stay. The bedroom was comfortable. One thing to note: there’s a busy road nearby, so you can hear some traffic during the day. It didn’t bother us at all, and the evenings and nights were quiet.

Exceeded our expectations despite being beautifully presented. They bought us a bottle of champagne for our birthday and were extremely flexible and accommodating. Loved our stay thank you Marta and team.

Amazing location just behind a sand dune off amber beach. Perfect place to stay with kids, lots of games and activities if it’s raining and the beach for when it’s not! Great and clean facilities - everything you could need for an escape to the seaside!

A very beautiful and unique haven in the countryside. We loved the remote woodland location and spent an idyllic couple of days here relaxing together as a small family. The accommodation had plenty of room for the four of us and we loved being close to nature for a few days enjoying woodland walks on our doorstep. We had everything we needed to cook nice meals and all slept well in the comfortables beds and quiet setting. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of ducks on the lake. James was a great host and very quick to get back to us when we had a query. We'll definitely come back.

The biggest compliment is that we want to go back. So peaceful and quiet, the weather was kind to us so we could sit out in the garden and our breakfast. All you could hear was the birds singing. The lodge was very comfy with a well stocked kitchen. The lounge area was very nice and bright with plenty of windows to let the sun come shining through. We will definitely be making another visit. Our family had a wonderful few days at the gorgeous Oast House property. Stunning setting with views across the fields. Local walks were great and maps available, along with local attractions all close by. Heather prepared an amazing meal for us which was well worth the money and the property had everything we needed for a peaceful and enjoyable few days away from the big smoke. The guest book in the property says it all about what a fantastic place this is. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Great cottage, very spacious, very clean, comfy furniture. Nice touches such as tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponges and lots of toilet rolls. Jo was super easy to communicate with and gave us lots of recommendations for activities for our toddler in advance which was very useful.

Our stay at the cottage was exactly what we required. The location was ideal, the surroundings and grounds were great. The accommodation was great and Jo was a very responsive host. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

Diana and her husband live in a wonderful place, and we feel so grateful for the experience we had there! The surrounding country side is superb, the cottage is functional, clean, well decorated. We just spent one of our best family holidays ever! Thank you!

The location was great - Camber Sands beautiful beach is less than 10 mins walk away. The nearest town, Rye, is a few mins drive - it is picturesque with lots to see and some pretty, independent shops and nice restaurants. The accommodation was one of the best I’ve rented on Airbnb. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean and tidy, and spacious. Everything worked, it was well equipped, and the view out over the fields at the back of the property was awesome. The hosts were great too - proactive, welcoming, responsive and easy-going. Clearly experienced and considerate of what people are looking for from their stay. Overall 10/10 and I might go back!!

Jessica has a lovely cottage. The descriptions are very detailed and accurate. There is a nice walk around a lake which is within walking distance of the cottage. Newhaven has some shops and is only a 5 minute drive. You can also easily get to Brighton so I would definitely recommend staying here to explore Brighton and surroundings.

Safe to say was an amazing stay and couldnt have picked a better place to stay. Great cottage and to have a swimming pool as well topped it all off. Would highly recommend to anybody.

Georgia's a great host. Her property was very clean and cosy inside and looked great! Not much to do around the area food wise but the lovely property beats that! Would recommend to anyone
