I had a wonderful stay at Sharu's place! The space was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Sharu was a responsive and thoughtful host, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful and conveniently located near everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again!

We had a great stay at Richard's place. A great size for a family get together with enough space for us to be together but also quiet areas available if needed. Perfect location next to the river with beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Would love to return.

Fantastic space to gather with a few friends or family in a beautiful and peaceful location. The accommodation is as described - lovely airy and bright living/dining/kitchen opening out onto decking surrounded by countryside. We were able to enjoy sitting out in the sunshine on the deck from the moment we arrived - what a lovely relaxing start to our trip! The three bedrooms (serviced by three bathrooms which is ideal - two en-suite) were lovely and clean (as were all spaces) and comfortable. Everything you need for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings - space, facilities and surroundings were spot on! Thanks for a lovely stay Emma!

The cottage was the perfect place for our weekend away! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the garden was very spacious! We loved watching the neighbouring sheep in the sun room, and the hot tub was the perfect place to watch the pheasants and squirrels which visited the garden. The cottage was about an hours drive to the lakes, and the host was super friendly and recommended some lovely local walks and things to do in the village! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Really enjoyed our stay at Black Mesa. A very cosy, restful and comfortable place to come back to after a day's walking. Great location with lots to do round and about.

A lovely, very well equipped house with a very nice view of the surroundings. The owners live next door and instructions make sense when you arrive. the house is called Hadrians View. freshly made scones with cream and jam waiting for us in the fridge and a bottle of wine. Very kind and very much appreciated. Would live to come back here in the future.

This was our second stay at Fiona’s place and we loved it just as much as the first. The location is so beautiful and the views from the window are perfection. The beds are so comfortable and the sheets were so luxurious that we looked at the label on the bedding and ordered the same ones before we left! We were within 25 minutes drive of Buttermere, Crummock Water, Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite, all of which were amazing swim spots. Fiona is very friendly and was available to answer any questions we had. We will be back next year. 😊

This is an amazing place, Robert has decorated it very colourfully, and the care he has taken in kitting out the little kitchen is impressive. It was a very comfortable stay and a great location for walking the middle section of Hadrians Wall.

An absolutely beautiful accommodation, comfortable & large in a glorious setting. Zoe is so friendly, unassuming & helpful. Encouraged us to wander around her lovely garden, the very old courtyard & surroundings. Her dogs & cats add to the pleasant home stay atmosphere. The breakfast supplies, tea & coffee were very generous. Zoe booked us into a nearby pub for dinner which was a good idea as they can be very busy. There are a number of things to see in nearby towns. We would have loved to have stayed for much longer & will definitely return to Zoe’s if we ever get back to the UK.

This is a perfect stay for a quiet getaway. Felt very safe as a woman on my own. The flat was really clean and homely. They left a lovely card and drinks and chocolate. Lovely friendly hosts. Can't thank you enough for the stay! I highly recommend to anyone.

This was a great find. Alison has catered for every little detail - experience built up over many years. The generosity of the welcome hamper and milk in the fridge was really appreciated. We had two excellent evening meals at the Milecastle Inn and would thoroughly recommend, as Alison had.

Had a wonderful two night stay in the apartment. If you are wanting peace, tranquility and an amazing view of beautiful British countryside then this is the place for you. It makes you realise appreciate what beautiful unspoilt countryside we have in the North East of England. Many thanks to Mary for a memorable stay.

This bijpu bedsit is perfect for a single person. Peaceful and private, and with everything I needed. The bed was really comfortable, and the whole place was immaculately clean. I was really happy to see environmental measures in place. The location is perfect - spot on for accessing this part of the Lakes, with so many beautiful spots within easy driving distance. Kath's communications were clear and friendly and fast. I would recommend this accommodation and its owners without hesitation.

It does what he says on the tin, and that's a positive! The kitchen is well-equipped with pretty much whatever you need and is fairly spacious, considering. The same applies to the bedroom and bathroom facilities. As a basement apartment, there is a lack of daylight (obviously), but it's not terrible. The counterbalance is that Sarah is a wonderful host who allowed me to check in earlier than advertised. The check-in process was thorough! The location is perfect if you want to be in the heart of Dumfries, and ample free parking outside and in the surrounding areas. I would happily stay here again if visiting Dumfries for the same reasons as my most recent trip.

The Barn really is a gem. We were amazed as we arrived how beautiful and peaceful the surroundings were. Kate gave clear instructions how to get there which was really helpful as we found other times on our trip the sat nav led us astray! The barn is so cosy and beautifully furnished, you can tell it’s been done with love and is stylish but very practical too. Had everything we needed for our weekend stay. After a wet day out walking coming back to a hot shower and putting on the wood burner was amazing! We loved our stay and would absolutely come back.

Absolutely lovely flat just steps from Penrith town centre, ideal for a weekend break. Comfortable and clean with really tasteful decor, well equipped kitchen and a surprisingly spacious bedroom. We parked in Morrison’s car park which is only a couple of minutes walk and were able to leave the car there for the whole weekend, topping up parking using the RingGo app, Penrith is easily walkable with a few nice bars and restaurants plus the Beacon is fab for a stroll to a beautiful viewpoint. I’d definitely stay at Allison’s place if I return to the town.

So lucky to have stayed at Sparket Mill. The spot is beautiful, and the two-story wing we stayed in beautifully decorated, with charm and simple good taste and comfort. Mark and his family are lovely, lively people, and appreciated our dogs! Mark gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and hikes. Magical little stream beside the house, and fields full of wildflowers. Wish we could have stayed much longer, as it's so peaceful, very special.

Very comfortable, brght and airy appartment/ bedsit - easy walkable access to pubs, restaurants with bus and train options to visit the sites along Hadrians Wall. As it was very warm when we arrived an outdoor space would have been welcome but I think it is a work in progress. Overall a brilliant location for our 2 night stay. We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

This was by far the best place I stayed while travelling in the UK for 6 weeks. Fiona greeted me on arrival and showed me how everything worked. She also made some great suggestions for local walks and cafes. The apartment is spacious, with modern decor and spotlessly clean. The host has provided everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It’s located within a few minutes of the shops and within walking distance to the buses and trains. Although it’s close to everything, it’s tucked away down a laneway so it’s extremely quiet and private. I highly recommend this apartment.
