Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Altensteig

Myself and my wife traveled from the uk to Christian’s property in rexingen in may 2025 , self check in was easy with a lock box containing the key to the property, Christian was always on hand to answer any questions I had. The home was spotlessly clean and as described in the listing , We felt at home straight away , Everything you need for a stay is provided , Towels , iron , washing machine , tumble dryer bed linen etc etc , It was like home from home , The area is quiet and peaceful because the property is set in a quiet location , most Black Forest attractions are a hours drive or you can take a 5 minutes walk from the property and you are within the forest with various nature walks of different lengths to choose from all starting from the property if you choose not to drive , We had a lovely evening meal in Horb at morgenland but would recommend you book in advance , A lovely weeks stay we had here and would recommend this accommodation,

We felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime 😊 the accommodation was very clean and tidy, there were many excursion destinations nearby and Tamara was always quickly available and helpful 👍🏽

Karin and Wolfgang welcomed me very warmly and I immediately felt welcome in your house. They are very helpful and always available, wonderful conversation partners and tipsters and you feel comfortable and arrived from the beginning. It's all absolutely straightforward and it's the perfect place to relax or be active in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is optimal. Super clean and tidy, friendly furnishings and flooded with light. The sunny balcony offers a magnificent view of the surrounding nature and invites you to relax. The kitchen and bathroom leave absolutely nothing to be desired. The bed is very comfortable and guarantees a good night's sleep together with the incredible silence. You can park right at your doorstep. For me, it was the absolute right decision. I'd love to come back. Many thanks, Karin and Wolfgang, for the exceptionally beautiful week!

We liked the stay in the Sonnenhäusle very much. The house is quiet and you can start hiking right at the door. We also received tips for hikes, which we tested directly and found to be good. 🙂 The house is well suited for 4 adults and the spacious garden invites you to relax. Communication in advance and at check-in was excellent. The house itself has everything you need and the sauna after a long hike was an absolute treat. We would stay there again at any time!

We had a wonderful holiday week in this beautiful holiday cottage. Everything was neat and in good order. The kitchen was equipped with many utensils. On the deck you could sit outside with a view of the meadows. If the weather was a little less inclement, the conservatory was a nice covered spot from which you had almost as much of a view. From the cottage, you can walk into the surrounding hills with a huge variety of wild plants and flowers. The national park is within driving distance and offered many more hiking opportunities. We also enjoyed visiting Freudenstadt and other places in the area.

This is a great place to stay. It seems centrally located to get to many areas of the Black Forest. The village appears to be growing while still maintaining a peaceful quiet feeling. Roy and Irmgard had great communication before our check in. The we kind and helpful and enthusiastic about hosting. The home was lovely and beds are comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend to anyone. Do check out what the Black Forest card has to offer before arriving and make reservations so you can take advantage of it.

It was wonderful at Helga's cottage by the old mill. Very spacious, very bright, very quiet and surrounded by a natural garden. Eggs straight from the chicken, a huge terrace and a perfect, complete kitchen. Wonderful excursion destinations nearby, but also the Swabian Alps and Black Forest. Lake Constance can also be reached in an hour.

Susan was fantastic. Even before arriving Susan shared tips on how to reach her home. The space was perfect. A gorgeous private courtyard to have breakfast in the morning, or a drink and food in the evening. Beautifully decorated. comfortable bed, spacious Kitchen and Bathroom. Everything was as described and presented. We would definitely come back. We had a quick walk in to the main city, Susan's home is very close. We were spoiled for restaurants and ate in a couple of Susan's recommendations. Susan as a Host was brilliant. Friendly, helpful and very responsive. Cannot recommend enough and ate already looking forward to our next visit in the near future!

Amazing location with lovely views!! We couldn't have found a better spot for our hiking holiday. The apartment was super and had all the amenities we needed. It is situated in a quiet area of the town only 10 minutes walk from the three main shops and even closer to the hiking trails around Baiersbronn. Alex and Leo were always quick to respond to messages. Super helpful hosts.

Wonderful location. Especially loved the balcony in the evening, sipping chilled wine and watching the buzzards soaring above us. We even got a fabulous sunset. Highly recommend as a base for exploring the Black Forest

Absolutely amazing hosts and a stunning accommodation. my colleagues were very comfortable and the accommodation was so lovely and cosy. We really appreciate the flexibility and the communication with the hosts, definitely recommend! Everything was clean and spacious enough.

The place was perfect! It was clean, tidy and efficiently laid out. Everything had been thought of, so that made the stay super relaxed. Check-in was very easy and Andrea & Reiner left good instructions and tips. The surroundings are lovely and the view is even more beautiful than in the photos. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every day admiring the view and the sounds of nature. All in all, highly recommended!

It was a very nice apartment, everything was very clean and the place looked spotless. The apartment was included with everything like washing pods and other things. We did not miss a single thing. We have had a warm welcome and the communication was easy.

We were on site for a weekend and it was one of the best accommodations we have ever booked. Everything was immaculately clean, the equipment very high-quality and extensive (especially the kitchen) and Ulrike and Uwe were very friendly and always responsive. It was really great, we'll be back soon for sure 😀

We stayed with Kim for a day trip. Everything was as described- tip-top, everything spotless. We will be happy to come back.

Daniela is a very nice and helpful contact. The location of the apartment is quiet and the surroundings (the village) very idyllic. From the accommodation, you can quickly reach the surrounding vineyards, the city centre of Baden-Baden and numerous hiking routes through the Black Forest. Just the thing to unwind ☀️

An impeccable ground floor apartment, nothing was missing, nice bathtub and super comfortable extra wide sofa! Functional kitchen, dishwasher and parking space right in front appreciated! Our hosts have always been very responsive, a place to recommend 👌🏼

We stayed with Andrea for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Very friendly lady with whom we had good contact before and during. The apartment is sparkling clean, and there is a bottle of water and wine ready for you. There are also many fun booklets with activities nearby. The area is beautiful, in the Black Forest and close to many hiking trails. The apartment itself is equipped with everything, spacious layout and nice bedroom. We will definitely come back if we want to go to the Black Forest again! Despite the language barrier, we got along very well! Use Google Translate and practice your German, and you'll get there!

Beautiful holiday apartment! Everything was perfect from the start. Eunice is a fantastic host and we felt welcome even before arriving at the Pine Cone Loft as she provided us with all the relevant information well in advance. The apartment is pristine, luxurious and the views over the forest from the balcony and from the kitchen are breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you need including coffee and tea. Even the bathroom is equipped with shampoo, shower gel and lots of towels. Eunice was very patient with our rescue dog who was a bit nervous at first. Everything is very dog friendly, the dog house rules are easy to follow and there even was a water bowl and mat for our dog. The whole apartment was very clean and we felt immediately at home. The area is beautiful and quiet and right on the hiking trails. Baden-Baden very close and easy to reach within 10 minutes by car. Eunice has so many great tips about the area and is always there to help if you need anything. 100% recommend!

We loved our stay and would gladly come back. Great for kids: lots of games, big garden with football goal, slide. Spotlessly clean, confortable bed and sofa bed. Great communication with host. Quiet and private. Easy driving distance to other towns/restaurants/shopping. Access to bike trails.

Very nice experience at Marie-Jo. The accommodation is very comfortable, functional, peaceful and in a very beautiful environment. The hosts are attentive and make you feel at home. I highly recommend this listing! Would definitely stay again!

We are always happy to be in Gina's beautiful apartment when we come to Stuttgart. The apartment is cozy and very spacious, and everything you need is available. We also like the location, you can quickly get to the city centre by subway. Gina is a great host, super nice and helpful. Always happy to come back!
