“Lesley´s place is delightful! The rooms are much bigger than in the photos and they are extremely comfortable. We loved the garden views with the wind mill and really enjoyed the continental breakfast. Communication was very easy and the Lesley was really helpful. We would absolutely come back and recommend staying at her beautiful place!”

“Highly recommended staying at West Oast. Stuart and Judy were swift to get in touch and respond to our queries. The local cab company numbers proved very helpful as it's hard to book a cab at the last minute in the area. They also proactively sent us descriptive directions and parking advice about how to get there which meant we found the place and parked up very easily. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and has all the amenities you would need for an overnight stay. The continental breakfast included fresh bread and homemade marmalade which was a nice homely touch. Stuart and Judy are great hosts - offering a nice balance of personal space and pleasant conversation which included lots of helpful tips, suggestions and answers to all our queries; we couldn't recommend these guys more. Woodchurch is very near Tenterdon and one of our regrets is not being able to visit the local Woodchurch winery (in additional to Chapel Down where we had pre-booked) - do make time for it if you go.”
Kingfisher Barn, so called because of our resident kingfisher on the adjacent pond, is a lovingly renovated outbuilding situated on the edge of the historic village of Appledore. There are three bedrooms and a large light-filled open-plan living space with everything you need for a family holiday or a romantic rural getaway.
“Kingfisher Barn provided the perfect base for a weekend getaway in the sunny Kent countryside. The barn itself was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities that you could possibly wish for - including a homemade lemon cake on arrival. Beds were extremely comfy, and important to note that the bunk beds are very comfy for grown ups too! All sparkling clean, and kitchen very well-equipped. The outside space was a lovely sun-trap beside a pond (with carp!), perfect for having breakfast out and sundowners in the evening. The host and her family were very welcoming and accommodating, and really went out their way for us. They have 3 lovely and very friendly dogs, which we particularly enjoyed. Thanks Georgina and Chris for a a lovely stay!”
