Feldkrücken, near Ulrichstein, is a small, not touristy, very quiet place close to the highest mountain in the Vogelsberg, the Hohenrodskopf, 4 kilometers away. Not only a magnificent panoramic view, but also a well-furnished restaurant with excellent cuisine offers some attractions, e.g. a summer toboggan run, a climbing forest, or treetop path. Of course, there are also many hiking trails, including a volcanic hiking trail.

More than 20 years ago we bought the Scheiche House, a detached house in the beautiful Vogelsberg volcanic region. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a residential building, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and led a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided it was impossible without guests! We have always dreamed of renovating the old barn of our house – and now it was the right time.
