The house is really very nice. Location is also beautiful and wonderfully quiet. Since we were there in winter, the cottage village was barely inhabited and we were mostly alone there. Shopping is available in 20-30min by car. In the summer you will certainly be able to use even more hiking opportunities. In winter, there are many km of tracked trails just a few minutes from the house. You should be informed in advance about where to get wood right now, because availability is constantly changing at the moment. Depending on the weather, snow chains can be very helpful. The driveway to the house is quite steep and was completely required with us so we had to park the first days below the house. The communication with Harald and the cottage caretaker was flawless and here we got both tips for excursion destinations and tips on how to buy wood.

Always a pleasure to stay at Lode's cabin! Great location, in a great cabin with a fantastic view! Very good communication with a great host. As returning guests, we will surely book again for the future.

We, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs, had a wonderful week in Lise's house where nothing is missing. The view is wonderful and the tranquility is a treat! I can recommend the place to anyone without restriction. We will be happy to come back.

Beautiful location and beautiful authentic house. The five bikes available are ideal for cycling the mountain bike route.

Typical Norwegian fjell hut, quaint, plenty of firewood and water. Good beds and cozy living room with lots of candles (short days in early January). With solar light, you could do enough. In the area very good skiing opportunities (cross-country and trail network within reach). We enjoyed it very much, ideal for relaxing and slowing down, thank you for that.

Great stay at Rauland, a little bit colder than the rest of south Norway, but central towards many interesting spots around. Good communicating and friendly host.

We have spent one week in the cabin of Aart to enjoy the tranquility and go skiing a bit. The cabin is high standard and the location is unashamed with amazing nature. Aart has described everything from directions to practical information in detail so nothing was left to chance. The cabin is very practical and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Very tidy and well equipped kitchen. The cabin is in a great location, was clean and homey. The host was incredibly nice, flexible and helpful :) we had a brilliant weekend in the mountains.

We stayed at the cabin for a few days with our two huskies during my work trip recently and we had absolutely the loveliest time! The cabin is incredibly cozy, clean and inviting, pictures do not do it justice honestly. I was definitely impressed by its coziness and overall feeling of the interior. The cabin is situated on a mountain but conveniently close to the main road where we parked our car, yet you can't hear any noises from the road once you're in the cabin. The nature around is very very peaceful. Communication with Geir was easy and effortless, he answered all of our questions super fast and we felt taken care of. We will definitely want to come back again!

nothing fancy, but quite and peaceful. I'd recommend the host put the house number on the fence, the quality of bed could be better. A shower curtain will be helpful to avoid water spilling outside the bathrooms. Nice spot nevertheless.
