Forest Sauna for Women/Sora

優里Rating, 5 starstoday
It was a lovely space! The bathroom, sauna, and open-air bath were really great.I enjoyed it many times during my stay. The kitchen was also beautifully maintained, and there were a lot of utensils, condiments, rice, and eggs such as an oven, so the breadth of the cooking was widened. Now I want to go when it's snowing in the winter. Thank you very much.

Stay in a town at the foot of Mt. Fuji! A countryside stay in Kawaguchiko town, perfect for large groups and parties! /Glamping Cottage Kawaguchiko B

The cottage itself might not be traditional Japanese architecture but the inside definitely is. Taller people could experience some issues but it's manageable with a little care. The kitchen is well equipped but the space is limited and if you prepare a lot of dishes at the same time, it's quite annoying. Would definitely recommend to use a rental car because you can access most restaurants and supermarkets within a couple minutes, as by foot, it can be a real pain to walk every time you need something. Overall a nice experience and would definitely recommend for larger groups up to 6 people.

The home was even better than the pictures! We had been traveling a lot in very tiny homes and this was a very needed break and space. There was a beautiful babbling stream along the whole property that was so peaceful. It basically had everything you needed and more. The major recommendation would be a rental car, if you didn’t come with one. It’s not like the other major cities where everything is walkable. We were able to rent a car with ease at JR care rental at Kobuchizawa Station. The taxis are expensive here. We are from the US and you will need to get an international DL Before you travel from AAA for $20, super simple and fast. Remember to drive on the left side. We went to Suntory Whiskey Museum and was very nice history. There are also nice trails with beautiful waterfalls. You need a car for this. Hot water for the whole house needs to be on couple minutes before using just by pressing the far left button and doesn’t stay on long so will need to remember to turn on.

It was a great place to stay but really far from everything. We were also unable to reach a cab with taxi go or Uber. The only way we could get a ride was by calling a taxi service. It was also hard to explain the address to the taxi driver since we don’t speak Japanese. There was one time we did show the address of the Airbnb to the taxi driver and he took us far from it, we had to make a U-turn and guide him to the Airbnb. Other than that, it was a good, peaceful place.

Haruya Guesthouse

Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is my first time coming to Japan, because two days I can meet the most lovely yumi and harufumi in haruya is the best experience of this trip, this house and the owner and all the people I meet are different, warm and sincere, you can feel it from their smile, and it is very fortunate to join their yoga activities, so I know new friends, by the way, and cute lily, this is amazing! The details of the house are more sensible of the level of care of yumi and farufumi, where you can hear the sound of stream water, the sound of the leaves wiggling, all kinds of insects chirping in the late night, really letting the time slow down, if there will be a chance I will bring my favorite person to come again!

HARUNA WING Private cottage in the woods overlooking the golf course

雄太Rating, 5 stars2 months ago
This rental is located in Kita-Karuizawa. There is a sense of openness because you can see the golf course in front of you. We enjoyed the salad powder snow during our winter stay. If you expect a wood stove to function as a heating instead of ornamental, you need more firewood than you think (I want to bring 3 bundles)

Entire house with hot spring bath!Up to 6 people! There's a deck![15 mins walk to Yubatake]

彩子Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
Thank you for picking us up from the check-in location to the place!I was grateful for the luggage in the car. Although it is a little far to Yubatake, it is within walking distance. We stayed with 5 people, but it was spacious, quiet, and relaxing. Above all, the bath is the best.It is thick hot water, so please be careful not to see it when you wash your face (laughs). The bathtub was also deep, and the hot water was very warm! Later, I heard from locals that it is difficult to draw hot springs to their homes in various ways. If you don't mind people and want to relax, this is a recommended place to stay!

My husband and I stayed one night. It was just around the time to see the autumn leaves, and it was a very calm environment with a colorful autumn leaves around the area. It was really perfect for relaxing away from the city, and I slept for the first time in a long time. The outside terrace was also large, and the breakfast in the beautiful air was exceptional. The dishes and futons are also very clean. We'd love to stay again for our consecutive holidays.

The reservation was accepted the day before, and it was very helpful to be courteous throughout. The room was very clean, and we had a pleasant time in a stylish space. We also enjoyed a movie with a♪ projector. At the entrance, you can enjoy a BBQ and a bonfire, and at night a photo-friendly space is prepared with a petite illumination. I want to use it again if I have the opportunity.

Robin's Nest, Yatsugatake

りなRating, 5 stars5 months ago
I stayed for two nights and three days in November. I got cold on the first night, but I had a warm stay with a wood stove. In the morning, I saw many small birds gathering in the nest box in the garden. I visited "Chabo Iida" that I booked in advance from the host's guidebook, and it was a very tasty and delicious dinner. I was able to fully enjoy the refreshing autumn Yatsugatake, and it was a refreshing trip.
