Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Tanzania

I had the privilege of staying at Elle’s place for a day (I was transitioning between the Serengeti and my flight out of Kilimanjaro) was able to spend most of that time with her two lovely dogs and relaxing in her beautiful listing and garden. She had lots of helpful tips for things to do close by and a contact for a taxi should you need to travel out! I highly recommend her place and if you do stay, definitely give her puppies lots of love!!!

Sekunda’s home is beautiful. House is very clean and the garden is a really nice touch. Location is safe and quiet, but the home is located on a pretty bumpy dirt road. Don’t let this put you off! Only other thing of note is the lack of AC. There is a ceiling fan in the living room and one portable fan in a bedroom. The other two bedrooms can get pretty hot at night.

I have been visiting Zanzibar for years. This place is a great. I highly recommend. I hang out pretty late. So have your transportation arranged. Place is a great location, not far from the beach or local night life. In the daytime I had not problem walking to the main road (<5mins) hailing a Boda Boda (Motobike taxi). But it can be an hit or miss.

My family had a wonderful 4 nights staying at Margo’s property - very private, very large functional bedrooms with fans, air conditioning and private ensuites, plus a separate fully self contained 3rd bedroom. A beautiful pool, 24 hour security onsite, daily house cleaning by Ester. And the dogs were super friendly and great company. If you like football, pack your boots and enjoy a game with the locals on the pitch next door. If you like tapas or just really good food - recommend having dinner at “ To Be” which is approx 1km from Margo’s. Couldn’t find fault with the accommodation or the lovely Margo as a wonderful host, who was available, responsive but also gave us total privacy.

We absolutely loved our weekend at David's place! It may hands down be our favourite spot in Zanzibar, where you are surrounded by a tropical jungle with a beautiful view of the ocean. The swimming pool was incredible. My husband and I, together with our kids had a great time! The chef, Ezekiel, and all of the supporting staff were amazing as well. They gave us just enough privacy but were somehow still there when we needed services. We rented the villa for my husband's birthday and so on day 1 we invited a few friends over. David and his team went above and beyond to make sure that our guests were well taken care of also.

We loved staying at Gimstone's place. It's located in one of the safest neighborhoods in Dar es Salaam. We felt right at home right away. The building has great amenities, and it's a great community for children. It's also close to schools, beaches, malls, hospitals, and all things you need for a comfortable long term stay. We stayed for several months and loved our stay. Any issue we encountered was resolved once we brought it up. Will be staying here again when in Dar es Salaam.

Shara and Jakob’s place is an oasis of peace and incredible value for money. They will help you with everything you could possibly need - from airport pickup to transfers and activities in the area. Also, Shara’s home cooked food is wonderful!

I really liked Prosper's place. Me and my family enjoyed staying at the place the whole two weeks of our vacation. It is a quiet place with beautiful surroundings and at a secured location. The place was clean with nice furnitures, enough kitchen equipments and very comfortable to be in. It is within walking distance to Uzunguni meat carnival that offers delicious meals. I highly recommend Prosper's place for anyone going to Arusha. I will stay again at the house when I go to Arusha.

Place was perfect, 100% as described with a very helpful team readily available to assist. Perfect quiet location close the both shoppers mikocheni palm village.

Convenient location, very beautiful place and the pricing reflects the quality of the home. CHECKIN was smooth, the whole apartment very clean and the staff very cheerful and supporting. Felt right at home and was very pleased with the facilities including the swimming pool, upstairs pool and balcony area which was good for relaxing. Absolute 10/10 and recommended for anyone looking for a place in the area.

I recently stayed at this lovely apartment near Stone Town, and it was an incredible experience! The location is perfect—close enough to explore the historic Stone Town but situated in a quiet and peaceful area, which made for a relaxing stay. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind after a day of exploring. It had everything I needed for a enjoyable trip. The host was absolutely wonderful! They were very responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Zanzibar. The combination of a great location, spacious and comfortable accommodations, and an exceptional host made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

Thank you kisha for allowing our little family to stay In your home it's truly a wonderful home away from Home The house is beautiful, spacious and very modern feeling. We loved having a space to rest cook and act as our home. Kisha is very helpful and quick to respond. And everyone around the home is friendly helpful and all over wonderful. We travelled with our baby and when we arrived they had set up a little baby bed. They think of everything! It was wonderful being able to do our laundry there. Kisha has a little booklet of A-Z check it out and try the local recommendations. As someone who travels to Tanzania 2-3 times a year we would definitely stay here again. Thank you kisha for the wonderful experience.

My husband and I stayed here for over three months. Sekela and her family were very friendly! We had stayed in a hotel near here before and liked it so much that we decided to stay in this area for our next long stay. And we stayed this place as our home. When we first arrived, we had a small problem, but we could instantly get in touch with Sekela on her mobile phone and she solved it straight away. After that there was no inconvenience at all. The Wi-Fi worked smoothly, we had very few power cuts, and when we did have a power cut, they immediately switched us to a back-up system. In front of the house is White Sands Road. It is a paved road, but the traffic is not as heavy as other roads, so noise is not an issue. Sometimes we can go out for a walk or a jog. We didn't have a car, so we used Bajaj a lot. Despite the traffic, this small car was very comfortable. The drivers are friendly. It is also safe to have a security guard at night. Thank you very much!

Brenda and Ire's place is a true home, not an apartment that is only rented out. Lots of quirky decor, very colourful, we loved it (family with two teenage daughters). The girls could just walk around by themselves in town, it is all very friendly. Comfy beds and shower. The rooms were a bit hot in January, but manageable with the extra fans provided. Ire, Omar and Salum were very helpful and kind. Brenda wasn't around, but provided timely and extensive communication ahead of our stay. We have been coming to Stone town since 1994; and even with the mass tourism now firmly established on Unguja, Stone town somehow manages to keep its own spirit and this place reflects that spirit. Great stay, we were very happy to come here.

My 3 week stay at Wanja's place was peaceful and I felt at home. Wanja and the Aura Space Team were always responsive to my inquires and accommodating to my needs during my stay. This was my first visit to East Africa and to Zanzibar so I appreciated each of the dining and sightseeing suggestions Wanja provided. The area was very walkable and I met many friendly locals who helped to make my stay enjoyable. I would stay at Wanja's place again.

Homely home. Will definitely visit again. The common gym could do with maintenance.

A nice home away from home with friendly staff and a quiet serene environment! Christine was extremely helpful not only with the accommodation but with her knowledge of the surrounding area! 100/10 will stay again! Asante sana!

I can't say enough great things about this place, and if we're ever lucky enough to return to Paje we will absolutely stay here again! The place is an apartment in what is really more like a gated community but it's also super close to everything so it's the best of the both worlds - We loved having the pool, communal working space, cafe, parking for our rented scooter, and laundry available and felt super safe because of the security. It was also really nice having a real space to make our own for the week, with a living room + tv, kitchen, and extra bedroom. The beach is a short walk away and there are tons of restaurants on the main the street that are actually better and cheaper then the beach restaurants. If you're only in Paje for a night or two and want to stay steps away from the beach or be right in the middle of the party scene, this might not be the place for you, but we saw a friends room at one of the beach clubs/hotels and were so happy we were staying here instead :)

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.
