Tent holiday accommodation in Tanzania

Our group had a lovely time at Miseni Retreat. Beds in the tents were comfortable and it was delightful waking up and seeing birds in the trees. The food was delicious and good quality. We found it a little difficultto find (going the long route as the short route had been flooded by the rain) as some of the signs had been made illegible by weather but the team was responsive telephonically and guided us. The one challenge was that the toilets were quite far from our tents but we made it work. The place has so many spots you can sit and reflect whilst surrounded by trees that we left fully relaxed!

Amazing place. Beautiful pool, great location right at the river and in the middle of the nature. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nothing to complain about, we had a perfect day at Ngalawa camp.

Allan was a great host who picked us up when we got lost, then served us a great meal and made us feel very welcome right away. He did a great boat tour with us, where we saw hippos, crocodiles and many birds. He and his team are extremely helpful, friendly and fun. For our onward journey, he not only brought our car to a place, so we were able to leave directly from the national park, but also gave us a great tip for our next stop. He also had his money because we hadn't checked that the tank was almost empty... Overall, you're lucky to have met Allan. Recommended as a host at any time. @Allan: Thank you very much. P.S. lovely place! It's a very unique kind of experience that you're not going to get by staying at the different lodges. It definitely has a greater appeal to people who have previous camping or backpacking experience!

Every once in a while, you come across a host that reminds you of what Airbnb used to be: a space providing opportunities for authentic cultural and interpersonal exchanges. Staying with Abraham and his family provided just that! Abraham is reliable, hardworking, sincere, helpful and friendly. Moreover, he is a trustworthy guide for hiking up El Doinyo Lengai. If you are looking to slow down the pace in a peaceful, rural setting and wish to really connect with the Masai people, then you must stay with Abraham. I left Engare Sero with a very warm feeling in my heart. It has to be one of my top 3 Airbnb experiences ever. Highly recommended!

Camping in Uvi House site was an incredible experience! The campsite is clean and perfect for both short and long stays. The owner of the place and the staff are super friendly and helped us with the ideas for further hiking in the area. Oh, and the food was incredible! Definitely we’ll be back soon

Everything is over expectation. We couldn’t imagine such a paradise in Tanzania, with very good security, good team to assist on everything you need. Pepijn always let you know everything updated in the camp and I have to especially thank to the camp manager, Amina whose took care of me on everything during the stay. I can say I never had such a good experience staying in an Airbnb camp like Dolly farm and river camp with very valuable price. I have no complaints at all. - valuable price - calm place where you can have fresh air in USA river - they invite me to join the walk to their garden and farm which I was so excited. - the breakfast was so full and extremely over standard which I always feel so satisfied. You may also have outdoor breakfast 😉 - they also offer lunch and dinner and those food ingredients are organic from their own farm. - lastly, I have to thank the whole team for the surprise on my birthday. That’s very memorable for my Tanzania trip 😊 I still miss the time
