Hey! Amazing stay. Joseph is incredible - give this man a raise or a promotion. Beautiful location. Was a little toasty at times with there not being any aircon but for those with a bare minimum determination to survive, the fans work pretty good. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a well priced, central location to relax in and explore Paje from. Wish we made more use of the top level!

Mo was the most fantastic host! He was always available to check in on us and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. He recommended fantastic places to visit and was always so happy to help. He is so genuine and really made this one of the most memorable trips for my Dad and I. I can't wait to go back ✨️

We spent a perfect week in this small paradise, everything is made to ensure your stay is smooth and comfortable. It combines the advantage of the Airbnb (privacy, space, private pool) with those of a hotel (very good food, daily cleaning). Internet is fast. Beautiful sunsets. Lots of activities in this area of Zanzibar (caves, kayaking, parks etc). I recommend 100%.

Truly the best luxury home in Zanzibar—I can’t recommend it enough!

The feeling to live in a big private house with this garden almost like a jungle outside is amazing. The staff takes so good care of you and cook great meals. Jaku helped us with everything. Atm, shop,guids, food, showed us around, visit the villige school and was always on time. It is calm and not so many tourist around. The white beach outside is huge and its a great place for swimming. (I hope they start cleaning it a bit more, it deserve it. Nice restaurants close with wifi! The house is without so don't forget to load down the movie that you would like to see in the evening :) But these days its nice not having wifi all the time. Take the break, its good for us. The house gets a little dark in the evening but I hope there are more lamps next time I come back, because I really to want come back. They have changed the roof so don't get confused. its the same house as in the picture on airbnb. If you want get away from tourist and looking for a calm place just to relax, this is your house. And the house can absolutely take 15-20 persons. The villige behind it is small and not rich but the people that lives there are great and warm. we felt welcomed. So hire this place, meet the people that actually lives and was born in Zanzibar, Big hotels are all over the world, this is so much more. All my best, Siri

A very well-equipped villa, especially if you keep your eyes open and see the conditions in which the local people live in their immediate surroundings. The locals are friendly and open, only language can be a barrier to making friends. We spent these few days just lazing around, we only went to the beach to go to the beach, to search in the sea, to play football in the sand. There is not a huge selection of restaurants and they are a bit more expensive than the other village we visited, Jambiani. The apartment and the kitchen are well equipped, you can also spend time in the garden, everything is added. We experienced something that we rarely get used to during our travels: the TV was not just a decoration on the wall, it worked, with lots of channels. Adam and Rahel are our two hosts. We found that Adam was there and easily available for us, he uses his phone, he doesn't only respond through the airbnb interface. He was at our disposal regarding power outages and internet problems

Our stay was nothing short of amazing, we really wish we could have had more time! The private rooftop pool and stunning sunset views made it unforgettable. Since it was Ramadan, most restaurants were closed, but having Barakana nearby and open was incredibly convenient—great food and free delivery to the villa! The space was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped, with reliable WiFi and solar power ensuring uninterrupted comfort. Anne and Arnaud were welcoming and always available. Perfect location near Nungwi and Kendwa beaches. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for up to 6 people. We were only two and the place was big, clean, everything working well. Good kitchen, fans and AC working fine. I definitely recommend this place. Will be back there again if it’s available. Thanks!

Pros: Very good hosting. The pool is beautiful ++. The house is clean. Very friendly staff . Very good stay. Things to know: There are only 6 sunbeds at the pool. Breakfast are only served in the villa because the terrace and pool are too far away, it's a shame because you wake up the whole house, it resonates in the dining space, and noisy doors, impossible to make a fat morning (But anyway we are raised with roosters singing) The room on the beach is pretty but rudimentary, if we stop the fan 5min, mosquitoes arrive because wooden "cabin", our friends slept very badly there, the screen is outdated and it would need an additional fan. The view is magnificent from this terrace, very nice beach (even at high tide not enough water to swim, only bubbling). From the house you have to cross the garden, then take a path for 40m , cross the volleyball court before arriving at the pool. Nice bar next door.

Lorenz was very responsive and accommodating, particularly when we expressed concern that the whirlpool is inside and cannot be closed off. we have a 3 year old who sometimes wanders at night and we were worried he would get into the pool while we slept; Lorenz offered to drain and cover the whirlpool for us. the beach is lively and clean and everyone we encountered was very friendly. lots of restaurants nearby on the beach. the house staff is very friendly and helpful. the washer listed as an amenity was not available but the staff took our laundry and washed and dried it for us.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Masai Mara! The villa looks exactly like the photos—if not better in real life. The location is unbeatable, right on a stunning beach with breathtaking sea views. One of the standout aspects is the dedicated staff, all included with the stay. They were incredibly attentive, always ready to help with a cheerful "yes" to any request. This level of hospitality truly made a difference. The host was also exceptionally responsive, accommodating every request quickly and efficiently. The property could use a bit of maintenance, but it’s nothing that detracted from the overall experience. The villa and its location are simply amazing, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended!

Overall, this place was fantastic. It’s a traditional Zanzibar design so it’s not a modern place, but exactly what we wanted. We were thrilled to be there with our large group of two families, including 5 children. Rasheed was excellent and accommodated all of our requests. Food, especially breakfast, was delicious. The beach outside the villa is pristine, with white sand beaches and a beautiful Indian Ocean right outside the doorstep. The private pool was incredible. The villa rental subsidizes the Tamani Foundation and its students, so staying here contributes to the education of local kids. Win win.

We booked both connecting airbnbs. They are identical. The prompt was even better than pictured. Many ig picture worthy spots. There is only ac on the bedrooms so the common areas do get warm. The house manager was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend getting the chef he did a great job. There is a little convenience store about 10 min walk but other than that there isn’t a whole lot around. The location is an hour drive from The rock restaurant, stone town and the northern beach.

Such a gorgeous private spot. Exactly what our party of six needed after being on safari. Our every need was taken care of by the stafff. We had the chef prepare all our meals and they were wonderful. The seafood BBQ was fantastic! We didn’t see a lot of Zanzibar because no one wanted to leave this beautiful sanctuary!

If you’re looking for a place that combines tranquility, art, and warm hospitality while keeping you close to the action, this is it. This is the one & I’ll definitely be back special thanks to the staff here. they are incredibly friendly, informative, and always eager to help, making the stay even more special. Chef Ahmed’s food is nothing short of mouthwatering.

This place is just perfect, it was exactly what was needed. We checked out all hotels in town and we were not satisfied, the smell and standards were sub par so we resulted to booking this property and am I glad we did. The place is far better than what was listed, the host is just so helpful and kind. We were met with a freshly baked bread, brownies, fruits and more. The area is in an affluent neighborhood of Mwanza, so it’s quite safe and absolutely quite compared to all the hotels in town. The rooms are big and comfortable, lots of spaces to hang out and relax. This was just perfect, can’t say enough about it. You will be pleased. You even get to meet Bob senior ( darling 🐈) and bob junior. I highly recommend this property.

This was by far the best place we stayed at, which was agreed upon by a group of 6 guests. Check-in was very flexible and the place looked even better than described on the site. The place was cleaned daily and Co host Bakari was very attentive by coming daily to check on us. The surrounding areas were amazing and great food was all around the place. There was nothing that fell short. Overlooking the beach with bbq amenities on the roof top that offered great views all around. This place was phenomenal. Five stars in our view.

Our 2 families (10 persons) had a great time and stay in this house over Christmas. This house doesn't have any AC but the fans do a pretty good job. Nice deep pool which was of great use as the tide and seaweed has big influence on the beach just outside . Along the shore there are couple of cozy restaurants. Be caution and aware of palm trees with coconuts that can fall down from the neighbor plots. Housekeeper Hidaya was great and so friendly, she helped with cleaning and cooking.

Super Fantastic Host Extraordinary. I am yet to meet any host of Carol’s capacity. Over and beyond that call of duty. I love to cook on holidays, Carol was my guide that took me to the local market, made sure I wasn’t reaped off by the locals. Went to two different markets. Helped to change currency at the local bureau de change. All around astonishing and outstanding ! Highly recommended and appreciated.

A place that you would wish to stay some other time

Fantastic villa. It’s not often you get to stay in en enormous house that used to be part of a Sultan’s place. Even after reading all the positive reviews it exceeded expectations. The house is an experience itself and Rafael as a host is very easy to communicate with, always responsive and gave us great tips. If you want to treat yourself to exceptional experience while in Stone Town. Highly recommend!

Honestly amazing place. Electricity is a serious problem here in TZ. Having been here for 2 months and stayed in so many places. The back up generator here is a bonus!! The people are lovely they help with any questions you have. The villas are very spacious and have everything you need. The location is amazing as it’s central to everything. Ordering food whatever time is easy too!! And they come and clean the room whenever you want. And of course the pool is a bonus!!
