We stayed at the house for weekend of birthday celebrations, the house was great and the garden, pool and surroundings were fabulous. The kitchen area was perfect for gatherings and loads of space to unpack. The beds were really comfortable, maybe an option to have a couple of additional twin beds as the majority were all double. The house was spotless and with the weather being perfect we couldn’t have asked for more. Anne was accommodating in all requests and information about the local area. I would highly recommend this property, we had a fabulous weekend.

We spent Christmas at Salix House and we were 11 pax in the party. Charlotte is an amazing hostess and her property is absolutely fabulous! The house is very well equipped and there’s so much to do: ping pong table, football, books and bars games. We had a fantastic time there and we would love to book to go in the summer! My husband and I are going other places in England and Europe, but I’m afraid this one will be hard to beat! It was just that lovely. This cozy guest cottage was just what we were looking for, and Georgina and Alex were the most welcoming and helpful hosts. They made sure we had everything we could’ve needed and went above and beyond what would be expected of them! They picked up that we were foreigners using the public transportation system and were so helpful (to say the least) to help us navigate that. We just loved every aspect of the stay! It’s the perfect small-town getaway or stop on your way into the “big cities” (London/Oxford). Will be back for sure!

A beautiful barn conversion in lovely grounds with lots of facilities, with thoughtful and helpful hosts. It was a fabulous long weekend and we didn’t need to leave the grounds to be entertained throughout, from in the pool to playing pool, it was all we could ask for.

booked with miranda for a couple of nights and she couldn't have been a better host.. very helpful and responded to right awa to any queries I had.. the house and garden were both beautiful and the whole stay was very enjoyable.. would definaltet recommend 👌.

Ian's place was a perfect spot for our group while attending a local wedding. Very cute and charming, full of all the amenities needed, and a lovely welcome basket was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend booking Ian's place to anybody interested.

Celia was a fantastic host. She was so welcoming, great fun to be around and was always up for a chat. Staying here was like going to a friends house. She was so generous with her time, even driving us around and when we struggled to get a lunch booking as we went on bank holiday weekend and didn’t book in advance, she let us join her own table. 100% recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay! We had a great weekend at stable cottage, location exactly as described, beautiful setting and really comfy beds! The amenities in the place were great and we really enjoyed the log fire in the evenings. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous house in a lovely village location. There is a bus stop a minute’s walk away that will take you into Oxford city centre. Will definitely stay again 😊

Nice house in Abingdon will close to city center

The minute I sat down in this beautiful cottage it felt like arriving home. Thoughtful and responsive host, great facilities, good shower and comfortable beds. A medieval village on the doorstep of wonderful countryside, it’s a lovely location. Thank you, James!

The house was absolutely lovely – the perfect getaway for us and a few friends. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Phoebe was a fantastic host, incredibly responsive and welcoming, even greeting us when we arrived. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent an enjoyable 3 weeks in this very old cottage which has been tastefully and sympathetically restored keeping its original low beams and features. Sydenham is a charming Oxfordshire village very close to the Chilterns. It’s an ideal place to explore from. There are lovely walks and views. It’s an easy drive to the market town of Thame and other thatched villages, many of which appear in Midsomer Murders. The Crown opposite provides pub meals and has a lovely garden.

Beautiful house, 7 min walking to get to the bus stop. The full house has several amenities and services. Definitely recommend

Alison’s cottage was everything we wanted and more. Everything was in pristine condition, and it had everything we needed for a perfect weekend stay. We stumbled upon this gem and couldn’t be more grateful we were able to book it. The only downside to the trip was having to leave! Alison was incredibly responsive, which made everything even smoother. We truly can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to come back!

A lovely tucked away house in the centre of Oxford. Really peaceful and well cared for, the house appeared brand new inside and was truly lovely to stay in.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience, everything worked smoothly, and there were no issues at all. The space was immaculate and welcoming, just as described, and we loved how comfortable and thoughtfully prepared everything was. Communication with the host was great, with quick responses and clear instructions. You can even message the lovely owner personally who accommodated a late check out for us. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. The location couldn’t have been better, close to key tring (5 min drive) yet delightfully peaceful for a relaxing getaway. From the cleanliness to the seamless check-in, every detail was spot on. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a perfect, hassle-free stay in Hastoe. We’d love to come back!

This place was such a standout for our family! Positively charming, perfectly decorated to celebrate the period architecture, cozy, clean, and absolutely a pleasure to stay in! Our family would happily go back! Deb has thought of everything and we felt right at home. The beds were so comfy, it was hard to get everyone going in the morning! This was a great launch for us to visit Oxford and the Cotswolds, and other areas of outstanding natural beauty 😊 Such a pleasure!

We really enjoyed our stay. Some practical improvements had been made since our last stay, in particular the new teapot was very welcome!

Jane and her husband what lovely, attentive and responsive hosts who made us feel welcome and at home for the weekend. The property is beautifully decorated and felt so cosy, there is ample parking, and - there's chickens! We even received some homegrown eggs as a leaving gift. Highly recommend!

The house was very nice and peaceful, and it was clean and comfortable. It was a little tricky to find because of roadworks around the station, but it is very easy to walk to central Oxford from the house.

Lovely property. Had everything we needed. Could do with shower caps as it’s a rainfall shower. Don’t want to get hair wet everyday. Plenty of towels. Comfortable beds. The address is deceptive. It’s on the corner of High Street. Spent a long time trying to find the entrance. Maybe get a house name and number on driveway entrance.
