Bästekille is a small village situated at a high elevation between Södra Mellby and Vitaby. It is 3 km to Kivik and about 18 km to Simrishamn. Here, you'll find apple orchards and grazing cows. In the village, there is a farm shop selling eggs, potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. Everything is certified by the farmer in the village. The Fabriken art gallery is located in the village. In the southern part of Mellby, there is a bakery where you can buy delicious pastries and bread. The nearest beaches are Kivik or Vitemölla, where there are beautiful sandy beaches. The cottage is located by the road that runs through the village.

Wi-Fi and Chromecast are available. I live in one barn and my sister in the other. So there can be a bit of hustle and bustle, but we are nice and easygoing. A cat may come for a visit. Small house in Kivik

Welcome to our guest house, which we call Brygghuset, because there was a red brewery building on the site before we built the house in 2022. It is located in a somewhat secluded spot in a large, lush garden belonging to Villa Solbacken, our permanent residence in Skogsdala, Kivik. From the house, it is within walking distance to Kivikviks harbor, beach and restaurants. It is important to note that the house has a steep staircase to the loft and no gates, so it is not childproof. At our place, guests clean themselves and bring their own sheets

We provide bed linen, bathroom towels and a smaller basic assortment in the pantry. You can also get freshly baked bread during the local sourdough bakery's open days.

The entire old Skåne farmhouse has been newly renovated in the past year and the guest house is part of the farmhouse, which also houses an artist's studio and gallery. The guest house has a separate entrance. Of course, the cottage is also decorated with art from the studio.
