No crowds of tourists. (They're in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Tastefully decorated vacation home with a spacious terrace and views over the IJsselmeer. Please note when booking: The annual Stavers festival will take place on the nearby grounds, mid-June 2026. Also in July 2026, the 18th edition of the Stavoren fishing days will be held nearby. The exact dates are not yet known. Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

The Optimist - 5-person vacation home

The Optimist is one of the two houses we have. The Optimist has 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. There is a sofa bed in the loft. The Optimist is located on open water and from the terrace you can sail to the Sneekermeer within 10 minutes. Cycling and hiking are also ideal here. Sneek and Joure are nearby and are very popular for shopping. There are many museums in the area. Parking is free on site and there is a charging point for electric cars.

You can walk to the supermarket within 1 minute and within 5 minutes to the center of Sneek with cozy terraces, shops and restaurants. When you check in, you can take a key to the house from the key box at the bottom left by the front door, and the entire property will be at your disposal!
