Holiday rentals with lake access in Setesdal

Great place to relax, in winter and summer. We would love to come here in summer.:)

We stayed in the area for a friend’s wedding and had the most wonderful stay. Great communication from the host. The house and surrounding garden was absolutely beautiful, exactly as described. We loved using the paddle boards and the hot tub. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

We were very satisfied with our stay, Liesell was very kind and very responsive. I can definitely recommend staying here :)

De accomodatie staat op een fantastisch mooie plek! De geitjes die om het huis lopen zijn zó leuk! Van binnen is het huis deels authentiek. Erg leuk om eens een keer te beleven. Het uitzicht vanuit de keuken en vanuit de kamer is adembenemend mooi.

Incredible location with all the amenities for a longer period stay. We stayed for almost 3 months and we had a wonderful time . Magne and Lena are great hosts, very friendly and made us fell like home. They offered us the opportunity to join to different gatherings to fell the community atmosphere and traditions. During our stay, we worked remotely and the WiFi was the best ever seen . Not any problem encountered during our stay and Magne was there to respond to any questions we had. At the location there are many hiking trails and nature spots to discover. We can't wait to return there. Tip for tenants: If the location is available during your desired period, don't think twice and book it... you will thank me later for the tip.

Der Aufenthalt in Vradal war von Beginn bis hin zum Schluss einfach nur perfekt. Dieses Airbnb war eines der schönsten, die wir je besuchen durften! Die Unterkunft war wunderschön und hat alles was man braucht. Kiki hat zudem immer sehr sehr schnell geantwortet wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben und war sehr hilfsbereit. Die Küche war TOP ausgestattet. Es hat wirklich ALLES was man zum kochen brauchen könnte! Die ganze Unterkunft war sehr sauber und auf hohem Standard. Die Sauna und der Hot Tub waren das Highlight! Wir können einen Aufenthalt in diesem Airbnb jedem empfehlen, der ein paar erholsame Tage in der Natur verbringen möchte.

We absolutely loved staying at Mona’s riverside home! The house was so cozy and comfortable we felt right at home. The house is located a short distance from town and was so peaceful, which made for a perfect end to our 2 week trip in Norway. Mona responded quickly to our messages and provided great local recommendations. We can’t recommend her place enough! On a side note, we also got to see (from a distance) baby swans be born on an island in the middle of the river all from the living room window of the house! ❤️

You feel yourself surrounded by a long waterfall with its beautiful water ambience and snow capped mountains. There is a breeze whose freshness is immediately felt once you open your lungs for it. The cabin is noise proof. Bathrooms are in top condition and kitchen is well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and we never felt tired after waking up daily. Een groot appartement, schoon en comfortabel. Min puntje was dat het kookgedeelte en water in een andere ruimte was. Maar met alle andere positieve punten was dit niet onoverkomelijk.

Pobyt w apartamencie było bardziej niż satysfakcjonujące. Dzięki uprzejmości gospodarza udało nam się zrobić wcześniejszy check in. Mieszkanie przestronne z pięknym widokiem na fjord. Co ważne mieszkanie było bardzo ciepłe (moja żona to zmarzluch). Polecam wszystkim tą lokalizację jako punkt wypadowy do zwiedzania Lysefjorden i okolic.

Die Wohnung ist wirklich großartig und umgeben von Wasser. Wir waren über Pfingsten da und es war herrlich ruhig. Der Supermarkt von Rune ist direkt nebenan und hatte über die Feiertage während unseres Aufenthalts leider geschlossen. Ansonsten ist das ja mega praktisch. Rune ist sehr freundlich und wir haben auch sein kleines Boot gemietet, um über den Lysefjord zu fahren. Eine tolle Erfahrung!

This place was perfect in every way. A great little getaway for a few days, or even longer. The surroundings were amazing and close enough to town in case you wanted to get out. The views are worth it and it was so peaceful and quiet. I can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Vi har kost oss masse hos Judith og Bouke. Vi følte oss veldig velkommen fra første stund. Huset er delikat og velutstyrt og utsikten er rett og slett magisk. Det var kjempekoselig å sykle Gamleveien til Folkestadbyen og slappe av på stranden i nærheten av huset. Judith sitt galleri var selveste høydepunktet i Folkestadbyen. Fineste stedet der. Vi har anskaffet oss to fine verk som vi tok med oss hjem og hang på veggene. Så heldige vi er som kan ha så fine minner fra turen vår! Dattera vår fikk leke med katten og hun koste seg masse ute på den solfylte terrassen. Stor takk til Judith og Bouke for deres gjestfrihet og vennlighet! Dette stedet anbefales på det sterkeste!💖

Der Aufenthalt war klasse! Sehr einfache und entspannte Kommunikation und unfassbar zuvorkommende Gastgeber! Wir haben eine tolle Einweisung bekommen, gute Tipps in der Umgebung und sogar frisches Brot aus der Bäckerei gebracht bekommen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen! 😊

Jeg hadde et fint opphold, kun en natt dessverre men kvelden var ideelt - kjempe rolig! Utsikten over hagen og elven er fantastisk - det var varmt og så deilig å sitte ute sent om kvelden. Fine turer fra leiligheten, alt i alt en perfekt måte å nyte denne korte turen til Hornnes! Tusen takk Tess! 😊

I cannot emphasize enough how relaxing and splendid our experience was! We had an amazing time staying there for our honeymoon! The host and her husband were very kind, friendly, and hospitable. Even though we came during Christmas, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! They even set us up a Christmas tree in the cabin and provided home-made snacks. There was plenty of fire wood, so we stayed nice and warm. The beds were so soft! The back four beds could easily fit two people each, for those who are wondering. If you stay with them, I highly recommend renting the sauna paired with swimming in the fresh water lake! The eggs from the chickens are delicious! The sheep are friendly. It was the coziest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We are so grateful to have been able to visit! It really made our honeymoon special. We hope to one day come back during the summer to see how the area differs, but we suspect it is spectacular at any point in the year.

Beautiful village, Big house, Lovely kitchen with all the basic stuff for cooking.

Koselig hytte med veldig fin beliggenhet. En vakker hage og kort vei ned til vannet. Hytta er innredet i en gammel og koselig stil. Kommer gjerne tilbake!

Vi bodde 4 netter i Renates hjem i juli 2024. Stort og fint hus med fantastisk beliggenhet, og mange muligheter for aktivisering av liten og stor. Anbefales på det sterkeste, og kommer gjerne igjen.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Das Haus ist sehr abgelegen, an einem kleinen Bach. Nachts kann man diesen, uns nur diesen, plätschern hören, was wir schön fanden. Auf der Terrasse kann man so manchen muckeligen Abend verbringen. Die Terrasse grenzt direkt an die Küche an, so war der Weg mit dem Morgen Kaffee kurz bis in die ersten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages!

Wunderschöne und gemütliche Hütte! In der Umgebung gab es viele atemberaubende Orte zu erkunden und Martha war als Gastgeberin immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! :)

Can’t recommend this beautiful cottage enough! Hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Perfect spot for a peaceful stay. Hosts cats were super cute and friendly!!
