Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

Nostalgic and cozy living room with unique location

The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally located in the village's cluster yard and was bombed during World War II. When the farm building was erected on the farm, the remains of the house were set up as a living room until the barn and today appears as an intimate and cozy little house with lots of history and soul. All amenities are of course completely modern. The house in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and at the innermost part of Høgsfjorden provides an unforgettable holiday in this old living room.

The house is in good condition, suitable for family or friends on a trip! Also suitable for rent at sporting events due to many beds and central location. The Joker store is just across the road. Within walking distance you will also find a pizzeria and pub, roadside inn, hairdresser and Circle K. Nice swimming and hiking opportunities in the summer and great ski slopes in the winter. There is also a children's ski slope with a lift right next to it. Høydalsmo is very centrally located in western Telemark! With Dalen, Åmot, Rauland and Seljord in close proximity.

Cozy little holiday home

Centrally located in Valle Municipality. Approx. 1 km to the city center. Facilities in the house: Child-friendly, Wi-Fi, SmartTV with BT soundbar Heat pump, fireplace (wood in the garage) Toilet, shower, dishwasher, Stove, coffee maker, fridge, freezer ++ Cleaning is done by you as the tenant. Must bring towels and bed linen yourself (1.50 double bed and 1.80 double bed). In summer, it is a good idea to bring your own drinking water due to well water. We drink from the fountain the rest of the year. You can boil the water if you are in doubt.

Lag en god middag på det store kjøkkenet i huset eller se om ungene tør å bade i den litt kalde elva. Ta bilen opp eller nedover Setesdalen og besøk ulike action-attraksjoner eller opplev utsikten og stillheten oppe på heia. Om kvelden kan dere nyte fuglesang og sove i innebygde, rosemalte senger. Charming old wooden house in a quiet area. Enjoy the great view over the fjord from the veranda, where you can see a beautiful sunset and enjoy the heat from the campfire. The house is well equipped in all rooms. The house is located only 7 km from the starting point of the Pulpit Rock trail. It is a 5 minutes drive from Jørpeland, wich is the town center in this area. From the house it is a 10 minutes drive to the ferrydock in Forsand, where there is ferry connection to Lysebotn.
