Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Scandinavia

Marion’s place is a little slice of heaven! Such an amazing view over the fjord, this rustic yet cosy, comfortable home has with everything we needed… (including fluffy towels- a very welcome change!) We enjoyed some down time from our busy holiday schedule, and loved soaking up the location - from coffee by the lounge windows,; a read on the patio, cozying up with blankets. Marion has truly thought of enerything. The laundry in the bathroom is probably the most functional one we’ve had on out travels. A quick 10 min drive to town too to cafes and supermarket, and of course the gondola for amazing fjord views Lastly , Marion was a lovely responsive host, very helpful with local recommendations. If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world - we will definitely stay again!

The stay in this Airbnb was amazing! The view is exactly like in the pictures, really beautiful! We also got clear instructions for the check-in which made it really easy and comfortable to get there. All in all we had a wonderful time and no complaints at all! ☀️

The most beautiful place in the world!

What a fantastic place to stay! Furnished 💚 with great attention to detail, it radiates an incredible calm. The location is simply unique – ideal for switching off and enjoying. From check-in to checkout, everything went smoothly. The furnishings are of high quality and there is everything you need. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The sauna is an absolute highlight – an unforgettable experience, especially in the midnight sun! ☀️ The host was always available and very friendly. Overall, an exceptionally beautiful accommodation, perfect for relaxing – absolutely recommended!

Absolutely wonderful lakeside cottage with a wood sauna and outdoor pool. Peaceful and beautiful environment and a cozy and spacious cottage. Everything went great.

Agriculture and Architecture mix. Living on the farm. Hike the property to historical Viking battle site. Golden hour sunset from property was amazing. The boathouse is a special and unique salute to Norway. 🇳🇴 Hope to return and stay longer next time. 🤞

Stunning views and very cozy place to stay!

We had an absolutely awesome time at Espen’s place in Røldal. The cabin was super modern and clean and had everything we needed for an amazing couple of days enjoying the peace and quiet of Roldal. The view from the cabin is amazing from both inside and out, the beds were so comfortable and Espen was a brilliant host. He recommended great things to do in the area and was super responsive to any questions we had. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We would love to come back!

had a wonderful stay! The apartment was clean, cozy, and exactly as described—stylish with plenty of natural light. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, and the host was super responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Just a small note: the apartment is on the 4th floor and there’s no elevator, so be prepared for a bit of a workout with your luggage. But honestly, it was a small trade-off for such a lovely place. Highly recommend!

WOW WOW WOW. I can't even believe we got to stay here. What a privilege! It looks even better than the pictures. The view is unbeatable. Marit was kind and warm, available but not overbearing. I mentioned we were doing the sauna in Aurland (recommend!! Aurland, not Flåm!) and she left towels out for us. messaged to ask how the trip was going and if we needed a shoe dryer. This Airbnb is everything an Airbnb should be and more, Marit is everything an Airbnb host should be and more! Thank you, Marit, for a fantastic stay. Tusen takk!!!

Very authentic converted Telemark barn. Located on the Totak. View of the lake and the still partly snow-covered mountains. Berit and Knut are very friendly people and like to have a chat. All basic amenities are available in Rauland.

I had a really nice stay in this idyllic, dreamy house in the middle of nature. Perfect for unplugging. I was particularly enthusiastic about the host's self-painted art. My room and the house are very lovingly furnished. Breakfast is a highlight with homemade bread rolls, fruit, homemade jams, etc. I felt very comfortable here with the tranquility, nature and really great hospitality!

Comfortable compact apartment, about a kilometer from the railway station. A large balcony, a couple of chairs, even blankets to wrap around in the colder air. Lovely thick towels, very good dishes to use. Beautiful paintings on the walls. I highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at Kestutis’s place. The instructions were super clear and the place looked exactly like the photos. You have great views and are a close drive to some main attractions. We had an awesome time! Will hope to be back someday!

Had everything we needed, and a beautiful location

I can’t recommend this property enough, we felt right at home. The hosts are so attentive and hospitable, we even changed our plans to use the kayak and to appreciate the location. We spent hours just looking out over the lake at the stunning views. The pictures we took look photoshopped they are so perfect. Family have already asked for the property details as want to stay. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.

It is a great private accommodation that is clean and has a beautiful view.The host, Lillian, is also kind and quick to respond.Fully equipped with amenities and kitchenware, you don't need to go shopping extra.The surroundings are surrounded by silence, and you can spend quiet time.We were disliked by the weather and the sun breeze and didn't make it possible to see the Northern Lights in our 5 day stay, but if conditions are in place, you will be able to admire them from the deck and the large windows inside.We recommend using a rental car as public transportation is extremely reduced on Saturdays and Thursdays.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. If you want to experience “hygge” during your stay in Copenhagen, this is the place! It is very clean and spacious- plenty of room for two, very cozy for one. The bed is very comfortable, and I loved the bathroom. There are extras of essentials in case you forgot anything. Everyone in passing was very friendly, totally possible to keep to yourself if you wish. The backyard is it’s own special place, I highly recommend unwinding here after a day in the city. Getting to the city is very easy- exit the front gate, go to your right, cross the side walk and you are at the bus stop for 5C headed towards the city. Lime bikes available about 3 blocks that same way as well. I recommend taking the bikes to or from Tivoli gardens/ Glyptotek area for a practically straight shot, easy going biking experience. Pita Kebab down the street was soo good, as were Netto’s premade options. Enjoy your stay in an authentic Danish home!

Everything was just perfect. Super clean apartment. Perfect view and very fast communication with landlord Kristin. She had a lot of tips for the local area. Very nice parking in the basement. Super super place and host.

We had a lovely stay at Morten and Patrick’s apartment. The apartment was spotless, modern and had lots of great amenities which we really appreciated. Morten and Patrick are great host, very friendly and responsive. The location is great with an amazing view over Oslo and easy to walk or get the tram into town. A beautifully decorated apartment, with all possible amenites supplied. It was very clean and within easy walking distance of all the Old Town sights, and had an included parking spot in the secure courtyard. The hosts were marvelous, and very pro-active, and quick to reply to any questions we had. We were there when the weather was a bit changeable, and the apartment doesn't get too much natural light, but we didn't find this a problem. We were greeted with a host of complementary drinks in the fridge, and numerous sweets, and this was a real highlight. Highly recommended.

We had a one night stay on the road from the fjords down through Sweden and this was a really nice stay in between without having to go into Oslo again. The property is in a stunning location, provided you're in to peaceful spots and don't mind a short drive for groceries, meals, etc. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped enough for us to throw together a quick meal. In mid-summer the sun goes down at almost 11 pm which is a shock to us coming from further south. The shades are helpful but don't quite block the sun, so I'd suggest a mask if sunlight is sensitive for you. All told it was a great stay - exactly what we needed.
