Located in a quintessential beach town, this super "suite" beach retreat is just 3 short blocks to the beach and is an easy walk to great dining, nightlife, ice cream, bike rentals, shopping, & activities. In a couple steps from the private driveway, you'll enter the ample-sized screened-in porch. Catch your breath and take a moment to hear nature before walking into your home-away-from home. A well-appointed fenced backyard is shared common space with our adjacent listing "Breezy Banana."

Island Retreat: Quiet and convenient.

This beautiful studio is in a private house on one of Savannah's barrier Islands. It is 12-15 minutes drive to Downtown ( Use Uber to take advantage of downtown Savannah's open container laws) and 10 minutes to the beach at Tybee Island. The room has a small private bath with shower with rain head, a full closet, coffee maker and fridge, vanity table. Mark, co-host, is a retired local guide who can provide information if needed. Cozy Vintage Bungalow

This cute one-bedroom bungalow is fully self-contained. Though it is attached to the main house, it has its own private entrance and porch, complete kitchen, and full-size washer/dryer. It is conveniently located in a quiet, southside neighborhood: less than a mile from Lake Mayer park, about 10 minutes from Sandfly & Skidaway, 15 minutes from downtown and River Street, and only 30 minutes to Tybee beaches. There is covered parking at the back and a beautiful live oak tree in the front.

Starlander Ltd.: The XL Suite, w/ private bath

The Starlander suites are within a 1920s townhouse that's part home (mine), part guest house, part art gallery, and a little bit library (I have a few books). I've travelled to over 70 countries, and my favorite stays were not in hotels, but in small guest houses and hostels with private rooms available. I liked the home-grown character of these places, and the chance to interact with the hosts and other guests. I hope to give others a similar opportunity in Savannah at the Starlander.

Magical gardens with birds and butterflies, and solar walkways so you can enjoy the stars at night. I pride myself having spotless apartments and every surface is wiped with care. We are in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, but not in the middle of the crowd. A perfect place to have a snack or bottle of wine, rest your head, or watch a movie after a long day of meeting with family and friends, visiting art galleries, paddling or boating on our local waterways, or walking our historic streets.
