Everything is relaxing. The old stone mill and its green environment for the eyes, the sound of the river and the birdsong for the ears, the smell of trees in bloom and cut grass. The mill is a 5-10 minute walk to all the amenities that the small medieval town of Pons offers. Louise and Michael welcomed us warmly, caring about our well-being in their home while preserving our privacy. We had a great weekend at Moulin Chaillou, we can only recommend it. We enjoyed a wonderful week at Edith and Christophe’s outstanding home. The accommodation within the beautiful grounds is a bucolic haven in an historic building. Everything we had read and the photos we viewed were entirely representative of what we experienced. Edith and Christophe are very welcoming and hospitable, understandably proud of their home and its location. We were given recommendations and plenty of information about what to do and where to go in the local area. The apartment was characterful and clean, with everything we needed. The master bedroom was bright and airy, with a large comfortable bed. The pool in the converted barn was wonderful. Like everything else, the attention to detail is noticeable, with comfortable sun-loungers and use of an open-air jacuzzi. Lounging in the jacuzzi in the summer sun, in a private garden with countryside surroundings was a time to feel good about life! We feel very fortunate to have discovered Logis de Chassagne.

A big thank you to Nadine for her warm welcome and availability throughout the stay! The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and perfectly as advertised. It immediately felt good. The environment is calm and pleasant, ideal for recharging. Nadine was really great: attentive, responsive and gave good advice. I would recommend it without a second thought!

Excellent stay at Sophie's, the accommodation is ideal for a couple, there is everything just like at home. Very quiet environment, and the restaurant recommended by Sophie was excellent.

The house is very large, the amenities are of quality and everyone has their own space. It has everything you need for a good vacation. The garden is nice and it's a good place to stay. Be careful, however, with small children because the doors do not close properly and the garden is not enclosed.

We spent a week with Thierry in May. Thierry responded very kindly and uncomplicatedly to the fact that our arrival was delayed more and more. He welcomed us very nicely and gave us many tips. You can tell from the house that Thierry is a flea market fan. We thought that gives the house character, it's really unique. It is quiet, with a lot of nature around, the frogs croak their concert, and at night the nightingales sing. The large, slightly overgrown garden (we like it) was fenced in so that our dog could go in and out of the house as he pleased. The area is pleasantly not overcrowded with tourists, but there were still opportunities to do something. A little tip: don't stay in the caravan if you are taller than about 180 cm (we are a little shorter, so it worked out well). Many thanks to Thierry, we hope to come back!

the property is located in a beautiful village. At the corner of small streets very representative of the architecture of the island of Oléron we found this little haven of peace. This old Chaix is beautifully appointed and its overlooked terrace makes you feel at home. Another advantage the shops and restaurants are nearby and of remarkable quality.

Great accommodation, consistent with the photos, clean and spacious. Enjoy both the large spaces inside and the outdoors. Marie Claude is very friendly, accommodating and with good tips for visiting the area. I recommend it.

this is the second time we have enjoyed this accommodation with our two children and our dog. and it was always a pleasure to enjoy the spacious and enclosed garden, the functional house, but above all the ideal location of this house. A stone's throw from the village square and its daily market ( the U express too), a few streets from the caves and the view of the estuary, and 10/12 minutes walk from the beach of the nuns, you can only feel like a vacation in this charming house. it's just missing a washing machine for it to be perfect . Which doesn't stop us from booking it for next summer with great pleasure.

Nice house, nothing was missing. It is clean and in a very quiet corner. Very close to Domino where there is a grocery store, a bakery and a market. You can rent bikes right next door or at Domino. Sonia was super nice. The Les Sables restaurant at the campsite was very nice!

Great stay during Easter holidays. Very good welcome by Rachel who was very available throughout our stay. Extraordinary location when looking for peace and quiet. Awesome indoor pool the kids and adults enjoyed themselves. Clean , well-appointed accommodation. Thanks!

The house is beautiful, the park is nice and the hosts are welcoming. Everything is together for a lovely stay at this place.

Diana and I were super happy with the place. Floki (our dog) got along great with the friendly Lola (her dog). Really great! The place was super clean, the amenities are great and the best part is, the landlords are totally accommodating and sweet. Really! Unfortunately, we were unable to use the pool due to the weather, but it is clean and a nice size. The bakery in the village is really highly recommended, especially the little chocolate cakes! 😍 It was a great stay! PS: The kitchen is well equipped and the dog can roam freely on the premises without being able to escape :)

Benoît and his wife were very welcoming. we highly recommend them. very nice and peaceful site. we were two couples for a relaxing weekend. it was perfect, absolute calm! 👌🏻

The cottage has a large terrace and huge garden, there's ample parking space which we used for a BBQ for my local friends. Marie, also knowing these people joined us, a very agreeable evening. The place is very convenient for me when I come down to visit these friends, who are from the UK but lived in France for many years. I can easily walk into the village and enjoy an evening with them without worrying about having a little too much wine. The accommodation is very large, very well equipped, good WIFI, I was able to use my laptop to stay informed and listen to Classic FMM when I wished. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I will be coming down again, circumstances permitting, always an issue for octogenarians.
