My fiancé and I (and our 2 dogs) loved our week in the tiny house. The location really made us feel like locals for the week. We’ve stayed in Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills many times, but Rodanthe’s our new favorite! The house was quiet and peaceful but walkable to both the ocean (and pier) and sound. There are many great restaurants close by- we loved Good Winds, Lisa’s Pizzeria, Hatteras Bowls, and Waves Coffee and Candies. Staff were beyond friendly at every location in the area. We had some rainy days but didn’t mind staying in since the house was so well laid out and the decor was cozy and beachy. Hosts were very responsive and had open communication. If you’re considering the tiny house for your next OBX trip please book!

Island Life was perfect for our family of 4. It has one bedroom and one pullout sofa. We spent more time at the beach so it was a great place to sleep and get cleaned up! It’s a quick walk to the beach or sound, we preferred the few minute drive to ORV ramp 25. Jonathon was great with communication and even got help lined up for us when our battery died one morning. This is a great way to get to the beach without spending a fortune for a house that you may not need. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I were so impressed with the Mini Dune Dancer! It was the perfect spot for a three-night stay to celebrate our second anniversary at the beach. The house is in a prime location—just a short 3-minute walk to the beach in one direction and a 3-minute walk to a local coffee shop in the other. The space was very clean and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the outdoor spigot and shower for rinsing off sand after the beach. The bath linens were high-quality, and it was great to see that the Brita water filter was clean and ready to use. We would definitely stay at the Mini Dune Dancer again.
