Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Pickering

We booked this for friends to use for their honeymoon. Charles was very accommodating and helpful when booking and the space was just perfect. Particularly appreciated was the wood fired hot tub and lots of useful local information helping them to make the most of their stay.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at The Barn. The property was immaculate, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The garden as well as the house was spacious and both felt very private and tastefully appointed and allowed us a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location was perfect for exploring this part of North Yorkshire where there is so much to see and do.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. We had a great stay as a family of 4 and the kids especially loved having the horses in the field out the front. Lucy was a great host! We would highly recommend.

lovely setting, period house is what it is. The children loved the little bits of history like the writing block that they had learned bout in school. Easy to find, quality bedding very comfortable. We were staying for a wedding so didn't spend a lot of weekend there. Garden was great to sit out in. Welcome pack was a lovely treat, 😋 The homemade cake sustained us all whilst making up all the wedding flowers at Danby church nothing too much trouble for Trish, I asked for full length mirror and there was one provided. Fantastic cozy spot with everything you need for a short stay. Showers were great, space was lovely and warm, extremely well decorated providing a homely and comfo Environment.

A perfect girls’ weekend getaway! We stayed at this lovely cottage for a relaxing girls’ weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. The property is beautifully presented and had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, perfect for cooking together, and the lounge and snug areas were cosy and comfortable for long chats and relaxing evenings. The beds were super comfy, and there was plenty of bathroom space for all of us. Just a 5-minute drive from charming Helmsley, the location was ideal. Lovely welcome gift was left for our arrival – thank you Helen. We would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The jacuzzi was lovely! The hosts were great at providing us with all the information we needed for a stress free check in/out and a perfect stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mini break. Peacocks were a lovely surprise seeing them walk around the estate. Thanks again! Hi. The house is lovely and beautifully decorated. Our only very small issues were that the blinds in the bedroom aren’t blackout. There’s lots of traffic noise as it’s close to the road and the garden perimeter is a bush and not a fence so we were unable to leave our dog unattended as she could get thru the bushes to the neighbours garden. But the house was lovely and we would stay again.

Had a lovely short stay in this lovely light flat. It’s exactly as pictured with the absolutely beautiful front room and main bedroom. Spotless, very new linen and towels. Sparkling clean with everything you’d want. I’d recommend Hila’s flat and I’d stay again.

We had a lovely weekend stay in this beautiful part of the country. Jackie could not have been friendlier or more helpful and provided us with delicious treats on arrival. The annexe is very comfortable, spotless, and we enjoyed sitting in the private courtyard as the weather was great. The village is so pretty and both evenings we had delicious meals at the pub (literally opposite). Perfect location to visit Helmsley, Thornton le Dale, Castle Howard. Could not recommend more.

We had an amazing stay. The apartment is beautiful with everything you need and plenty of parking. Lovely little village with a brilliant bakers and butcher. Walkable to Whitby along the Esk way or there is a bus and a train! Also very close to the moors for lots of country walks. Thoroughly recommend this little gem of a place!

We've already made 2 further bookings - that's how pleased we were with this property! Tim & Michelle are super hosts & easy to deal with. The apartment is comfortable, modern & imaculate. Great location with secure parking. Shops nearby & easy walking distance from the city centre.

Had a problem with the key when arrived, and it was sorted with in 15 mins. couldn't fault the price and excellent communication from host. I would recommend this property, and would myself stay again.

Rebecca’s flat is absolutely fantastic. It has everything you need for a short stay in Scarborough. Ideally located within h walking distance of the attractions, it felt like a home. Definitely recommend and would return if going to the area again. Parking is easy too.

We stayed for 5 nights in Simon's flat which was perfect! Helmsley is very pretty place with lots to do round and about so the location of the flat is ideal. It was easy to park and the flat very clean. The sitting room is a really good size, very comfortable and homely. Some rented properties (mainly managed by agents) are rather sterile and this was completely the opposite, somewhere you could settle into straight away and which had lots of character. The kitchen was well equiped and the bedroom very comfortable. We would highly recommend!

Fabulous stay at Jo's place, spotlessly clean, had all the amenities and so peaceful. Loved watching the chickens in the gardens. Unfortunately didn't get to meet Jo in person, but all correspondence through Airbnb she promptly replied to. Thanks Jo, we would love to come back. ❤️

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay , Ray very welcoming and helpful then left you alone to enjoy your stay , everything you needed and safe enclosure for my dog , very good butchers in the village lovely walking and Cod and Lobster in Staithes highly recommend , all in all very enjoyable very quiet , private and peaceful would definitely revisit and recommend

Stayed overnight whilst in Scarborough for a concert at SCOAT. Five minutes stroll, perfect. Beautiful basement flat. Clean and cosy. Keith was a perfect host and I would recommend his Airbnb 100% Thank you for having us 🌞

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance. We loved our stay … the apartment was comfortable, light & airy with a pretty view out to the garden and the walls of York. Very easy walking distance to everything you would want to see & do in York. Great local restaurants. Could not recommend this apartment enough!!

Fabulous place to stay. Calm, peaceful and a beautiful view of the sea. I stayed with my husband and two children and we loved it. Lovely walk to pub down the road and only a short drive to Scarborough, Robin hoods bay and Whitby. Would definitely like to visit again!
