To reach airport in 10 mins. Exploring the downtown Roanoke and Main Street of Salem in short distance too. Hollins Univ. and Roanoke College are both around 4 miles away. Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

My late wife, Gail, & I came out of retirement to renovate this unique home with a completely new kitchen, vinyl plank flooring, new deck & new well in the Fall of 2019. This 3 bedroom lakehouse is very secluded within about an hour drive from Lynchburg, Roanoke or Danville. The dock and boat ramp are especially convenient. Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, deer, bear, turkeys, otters, geese & heron.
