Holiday rentals with lake access in North Shore

The pictures don't do justice to the place, it is a very nice and big property, we enjoyed our stay and had a very easy access to the lake.

We had a great stay in Smith Mountain Lake at Rachel’s home. It was a great home for our family that came to celebrate our son graduate from Liberty University. The drive was about 50-60 minutes to Lynchburg, but it was nice to be out at the lake and out of the traffic of Lynchburg. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed and more (crockpot, baking pans/dishes, pots/pans, full butlers pantry/laundry room), the bathrooms were all updated, all linens were provided, paddleboards/kayaks were fun to use, we enjoyed the pool table in the basement, the dining table sat 8 which was great for all of our meals and gathering with family. The living area on the main floor is sizable and open providing a good place to gather, the basement allows another option for people to spead out and have space and many decks outside to enjoy the lake. We would stay here again.

This place is awesome! It rained most of the time we were there, but with all the amenities there was plenty for us to do around the house. The dock is awesome, and it’s on a nice, quiet, spot on the lake. We hope to be back in the future!

Spacious, beautiful home perfect for groups! Highlights include stunning views, a well-stocked kitchen, fun basement game room, multiple areas to sit and relax outside, and ability to rent and dock a boat at the home throughout your stay. During this lake vacation we had a ball swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating to restaurants, and ordering treats from the ice cream boat! Some reviews mention run down houses on the private road leading up to Kate's home. Just respect the 15mph speed limit and the neighbors are quite friendly. We spoke to one who was out gardening and told us about Moneta before the lake was built! If you're eager for a lake vacation, this is the place!

Our ladies retreat was amazing!! The location/property was most accommodating and exactly what we were looking for. Will come back again indeed! :)

My family really enjoyed our stay.The house was immaculate and well stocked.The fire pit was a great hit as were the Kyacks and paddle board. The house is close to SML state park which we went to a number of times. the ping pong table and game room was also a hit.Megan is a very responsive host!

Kelsey was probably one of my favorite hosts ever, easy to communicate with. I booked on short notice she was patient, helpful compassionate and understanding she responded quickly. I never had to wait for any length of time for her to respond. We rented a different place first, they weren’t very helpful at all or even willing to help…I was majorly disappointed & stressed Kelsey was exactly what I needed, she was helpful and accommodating. We traveled from Idaho, to attend my mother’s funeral. Kelsey was very friendly, sympathetic, understanding she was so kind and gracious to us. The absolute perfect host. A perfect home allowing us focus time to face our loss, grief & family bonding. Rather than stress over our accommodations. The house was PERFECT clean, quiet so well stocked I didn’t have to worry about “anything” or if I had forgot something all my focus was on my mom’s siblings, my kids, my husband…. I was able to focus on my family. Thank you

Very modern interior with a peaceful deck overlooking the lake. Extremely accommodating host (we were traveling with an infant). Place has everything you could need (cookware, utensils, tea/coffee, etc.) - would recommend :)

Andrew was proactive in checking on me! His place was very clean and had all of the amenities listed. The locals were very nice people, and the lake was amazing. I recommend everyone book with Andrew!

We had a fantastic experience during our stay! Gwendolyn was a pleasure to work with, and the home was immaculate and exactly as described. The surroundings are picturesque and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house was clean and well appointed. Communication with the host was effortless. We have stayed at this property before and were pleased to see many upgrades, particularly the upstairs bedroom and the master space downstairs. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway to the lake.

Great location. Cool house. Plenty of shade. Everything’s easily a short 10-15 min boat ride. Beach close by. The cub house is awesome for kids (even has an intercom to communicate with the main house). Only complaint I have is there were no cleaning supplies, spare toilet paper, or what I would consider basic supplies.

This was our second time staying at Nautical Nook, we absolutely love it here. Truly is a very special place.

W a gem! We loved everything about our stay. Best equipped kitchen we've ever stayed at (for an AirBNB), furniture and beds were all comfortable, but the best part was the outdoor seating and eating areas. We spent the majority of our time outside. We loved looking at the stars, watching the fireflies, and listening to the croak of the bullfrogs before we turned in at night.

I don’t have enough characters for an adequate review! The hostess was extremely responsive, above and beyond helpful, etc. I have stayed at many Airbnbs and this is by far the best! The house is SO awesome and just as pictured. So many little extras to make your stay the best(tooth brushes! 2 of our group forgot theirs(eeww) so this was amazing! High end Shower products, sound machine in the bedrooms, crock pots, gift basket with snacks, seasonal decor, kayak, etc. The personal touches in the house are beyond what I’ve ever experienced and made our stay so special. The setting is So beautiful and peaceful!! I can’t wait to come back!!! If you have any doubts, remove those and move forward!!

Had such a great stay at this house. Beautiful scenery, lots of porch and outdoor space, relatively private from neighboring homes. Bedrooms and amenities were as described. Kitchen was pretty well stocked w/ cooking implements and whatnot. Elizabeth is a super responsive, friendly host that made us all feel at home. Would def go back!

We were blown away… we grew up on the lake .. and this truly made us plan on getting back asap!! Def recommend this place !!

The lake house was absolutely perfect. The house itself had everything we needed and plenty of room for our stay. The dock was great and lounging in the lake on floats was so relaxing. There is also a really cool lakeside restaurant and bar about two minutes down the road that was an added bonus. Definitely want to visit again!

Ben was a perfect host. Very communicative and will do whatever it takes to make the stay as good as possible. Beautiful property and very cool layout with multiple dwellings on the property. So many beds! Great lakefront just an easy walk down from the main house. The deck with fire pit and outdoor TV along with the wiffle ball field make for a great place to hangout and spend the day with your group! Would definitely book again!
