Access to the Seine for swimming and walks. 50 min from Paris RER D ( train station 5 min by car free parking) 15 min from Barbizon village of painters 20 min from prestigious places such as the castle and forest of Fontainebleau, Château de Vaux le Vicomte, Château de Blandy les Tours, Château Musée Rosa Bonheur in Thomery.

The apartment is a 10-minute walk from the ‘Trois Pignons’ forest, a well-known destination for climbing (bouldering), hiking, and horseback riding. Explore riverside and forest trails from your front door! The chateaux of Fontainebleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Courances and Rosa Bonheur are all a short drive away. Paris is 45 minutes by train.

Charming cottage, at the foot of the forest

In the charming village of Le Vaudoué–with the forest of Trois Pignons and its famous bouldering areas on one side, and rolling horse paddocks and lavender fields on the other–this little house is a cozy hideout for solo travelers or couples, with extra room for one or two little ones (or very close friends). It was completely renovated in 2021, and then refreshed in 2025, preserving the old stonework walls and high ceilings while adding the modern conveniences.
