From the lane, the cottage is accessed through a white picket fence into the welcoming cottage garden. A path leads you around the house to the entrance hall. From the entrance hall is a superb and characterful kitchen diner with views through the sunroom into the garden. The sun room is the perfect place to relax, read a book or have a glass of wine with comfy Lloyd loom wicker chairs and French doors leading out to the garden and outdoor seating area. A large yet cosy living room is accessed from the kitchen, with woodburning stove, beams and a piano, perfect for atmospheric evenings in. Situated near the South West coast path and walking distance (20mins walk 1 mile) to pubs and beaches at Hope Cove and South Milton Sands. Salcombe and Kingsbridge less than 10 mins drive away! We are very happy for you to bring dogs but we request that they are not left at home unattended and that you clean up after them.

Shuttaford - Modern Rustic Barn in Dartmoor Valley

Shuttaford Barn is a recently converted barn on a 16thC Dartmoor farmstead on the edge of the moors next to Holne and Ashburton. It is the perfect spot to explore the wilds of Dartmoor National Park, walk along the beautiful River Dart or head to the many South Devon beaches for the day. Or just relax in the peaceful surroundings of the barn and its garden. In summer months we generally do Friday to Friday bookings. Please message us if you would like to book alternative days.
