Guesthouse holiday rentals in Mälaren

All good, train station close to the house. Kayak included really a plus.

The hosts, Björn and Annika, connected Netflix to the TV before we arrived - but we never turned on the TV in the 7 days we lived in the house. This is, in general, a brief review - everything was so rich and interesting. If you want more details. The house has a good location if you're traveling by car. You can quickly get to the train station (5 minutes), to the metro station (15 minutes), to the center of Stockholm (30-35 minutes). You can use the boat and fishing rods. Deer, hares, and geese wander into the territory. The toilet, shower and sauna are in a separate house, but we adapted very quickly. The whole family was sad when we left. Great and quiet location, especially good for a family with small children, thansk to the big garden. Clean and cosy. Paula and her husband Peter were very friendly and helpful. I can really recommend this home for your stay in the Stockholm archipelago

A beautiful accommodation! The apartment is furnished with great attention to detail, fresh flowers were everywhere and the whole apartment is simply cozy. The accommodation contains everything you need, the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. Everything was very clean. Erik & Frida have created a very helpful Google Maps list with things to do in the area. One day, they even lent us bicycles. You have to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, then you are in Stockholm in 20 minutes and can also easily get to many other places in the archipelago. But we were also able to survive the bad weather in this cozy accommodation. The property is highly recommended.

We were personally welcomed with a refrigerator filled with high-quality food. The hosts were very warm and always available. The garden house is well maintained, comfortably furnished and you get visits from deer in the garden. You can get to the city centre quickly by train. Overall, the accommodation is really a gem.

Cozy little cottage with the amenities you need. Comfortable beds. Quiet and peaceful. Nice view. Nice bathroom. Nice walk to downtown. Nice and accommodating hosts.

If it was possible to give this place and Irja 10 points. Would we give it. Sten, who is Irja's husband, is just as nice. Has stayed here several times and every time we go home. We long to return. We have been on an excursion (there are brochures in the cottage) Hembygdsgården is a nice place to eat and have coffee. Love the cottage and the plot that goes down to the water. Own jetty. Peace and quiet. Watch the boats gliding by. Best of all is the hospitality. In a few weeks (July) we will see each other again. // Jenny and Desi with dogs

Very nice and cozy stay if you want to explore Vaxholm area! 😊 The place was clean, had everything we needed and felt very cozy. It was great that we could just walk around the island and when we could borrow the bikes for free to explore Vaxholm 🏝. Linda and her husband are very nice too, gave us lots of local tips and the communication was always very easy and fast. Can only recommend!

Cozy little cottage in a really nice area. Short distance to the water with a swimming jetty, in a quiet and peaceful area. The cottage was perfect for us two friends, small patio at the back in the evening sun. Easy check-in and good communication with Malin. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a peaceful, tranquil location just outside Stockholm - and that’s exactly what we got. Perfect. The cabin is lovely - everything as described and kitted out in the customary Swedish style, quality and elegance. As they used to say down the east end of London: all good; nothing bad! .

We really enjoyed our stay in Suzannes place. Checkin was easy and flexible with the keysafe, but we were also welcomed by the hosts personally. The location is very quiet and beautiful. We would not hesitate to book this apartment again.

This cottage was very nice, and the surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. It felt like there were benches facing every direction (good for catching the sun ☀️). We especially loved having bikes available to explore the area – it was a fantastic way to see everything. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Frederik's! 😊 The holiday home is idyllic and quiet in the countryside, just a few minutes from Uppsala – perfect for relaxing and at the same time being in the city quickly. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped, ideal for our family of four with two small children. We felt right at home! Frederik was always available and very helpful – a great host. We highly recommend this house!

Lena's place is relaxing as it has a beautiful garden 🪴 surrounding it! Lean is super kind and friendly, as is her entire family! There are beautiful forests nearby you can walk in with wildlife and flowers (if you come in spring and summer). There is a grocery store within a 10 min walk, as well as a bus stop near the store, where you can ride to the train that takes you into the city. I recommend this place if you prefer coming home to calm & nature after your days out! 🥰

I absolutely enjoyed my time at Carina's stugan. Carina did her utmost to make me feel welcome and at home. Communication with Carina was very easy. She always reacted swiftly to my messages and gave me many useful tips. The little hut is very well-equipped, clean and tidy, and nicely decorated. The surroundings are peaceful. Taxinge Castle (impressive cake buffet), Mariefred with Gripsholm Castle and the amazing Mälaren Lake and Strängnäs are just a short drive away. I can definitely recommend this accomodation and I will certainly come back.

My first stay in an Airbnb and I was so impressed. The place was spotless and the instructions were really clear. It looks even better than the photos. Felt very at home and hope to return next year.

We loved staying at Ellinor and Sören's home! We felt at home immediately upon arrival and would definitely recommend this perfect guest house! The family welcomed us with open arms and was extremely helpful. They gave us great tips about the local area and about living in Sweden. The house was exactly as shown in the photos — it was very cozy and clean, and we had everything we needed for our long stay. We also loved spending time in the beautiful garden and watching the cute bunnies and chickens. We miss Ellinor and Sören and their family and hope to come back soon.

When we arrived, we were met by Lotten. She showed the accommodation. In the fridge, there was lettuce, ham and cheese, as well as Lotten's own-grown carrots and Pak Choi. Lotte had also baked bread that we enjoyed for breakfast. Super delicious. The last morning was sunny and it was wonderful to sit outside and eat breakfast. The country of the lot and the birdsong gave a calm where we could have sat for many hours. The pulse went down at Vinkeltorp. Before departure, we were invited to this year's Konstrunda as Lotten is an artist. Fantastic paintings and sculptures. If you are looking for a peaceful accommodation with a long distance to shops and necessities, this is perfect. We thank Lotten and her husband Bosse for their welcome that made us feel at home. Great, small, very clean cottage. All in top condition. Quiet, wonderful area. Just right for 2 people. Good bed and nice furnishings. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for breakfast. Communication with Kalle was easy, the necessary information came in time. Clear recommendation from my wife and me. We'd love to come back here if we're in the area again.
